Waiting for sex isn't a problem.
Problem is a virgin who does everything except break hymen calling herself one :) - I don't consider them virgins in 1st place.
And in case of a girl who hasn't done 'anything' yet chances are (a) she is inexperienced (obviously), (b) worse - frigid, (c) doesn't know herself yet (naturally), (d) not open to ideas i.e. has fixed ideas about sex and sexuality (e) has fixed notions and principles about how life should be between a husband and wife that either she's unwilling to change that become a deal breaker later OR if her husband has ideas that differ from her and proves himself right they become a reason for her world to fall apart etc
Ofcourse there are exceptions to all these rules.

I did want to wait for a girl that way. But she was Muslim and I think I left her because I thought I could never convert if I'm an Atheist. Now I need to fuck everything as soon as possible.
I think the guys who don't want to bother waiting are a waste of your time in the long run.
There is more to happiness in a relationship than just sex. The guys who choose sex over being with you, are not really that into you. Love can't exist if there are strings attached, and sex can be the biggest string of them all. But few guys understand that.
I would date, I don't know if I'm willing to wait tell marriage but I would wait a few months so we know we get along, enjoy being with the other person, have a good relationship.
with the few relationships I've had I find sex is better after falling in love with the person you are with.
