July 2016 - OJ Simpson...PAROLED...

When this 1st happened, I knew the justice system was broken, and now, he got away with murder yet again...Another Miscarriage of Justice.

June '94 - First day of summer vacation after my freshman year of high school, hanging out with some buddies at one of their houses, and another friend called us and said we needed to turn on the news.

October '95 - I was a junior in high school in Father Dawber's Government class (one of the priests who molested kids that would later inspire the movie Spotlight😱), and I told my mom to --wait for it-- page me😂 when the verdict was announced, "1" for guilty, and "2" for not guilty. So my beeper goes off in class and I just yelled out "NOT GUILTY!" and everyone started cheering, yelling "don't squeeze the Juice", lmao.

July 2017 - I was working, driving around listening to an afternoon Red Sox game on the radio, and I got a text from a friend saying the hearing was about to finish up and a decision rendered. I switched to AM to find a live broadcast, and I was already on the NYC sports radio station, WFAN, which I'm in range of as well.

I'm ok with the parole, most other people would be paroled in that instance too. The thing you have to remember is that you can't let anything you know about the murder trial influence the decision, he was acquitted, and is an innocent man in the eyes of the law. You can't just go harder on the guy because you think he walked on a double-murder, which I'm sure most of us can agree he probably WAS guilty of. For the crime he committed, 9 years of time seems pretty adequate if not overkill, and I'd argue he didn't get the fairest of shakes in this particular trial and he probably got hit with a "makeup call" sentence here. I'm not a huge fan of "law & order" or the concept of incarceration to begin with, so I really wouldn't like the idea of anyone going to jail for one thing largely because people think you got away with something else.
