Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!! People just need to stop being big babies about every little topic. I really think this hurting my feelings started w everyone gets a ribbon for participation. This is life, life isn’t meant to be easy.
@InTimoreDei yes they are. I’m glad someone agrees. There’s more important things in life to worry about, like what’s for dinner tonight lol I’m thinking pizzza
@InTimoreDei @OpinionOwner if it's so boring and uninteresting why'd you comment? If you don't have anything good to say about something move on, the greatest rule of thumb that has ever existed. Of course life isn't meant to be easy, but if we as a society could make it easier for each other why wouldn't we? By the way hope you enjoyed your pizza.
What's hilarious to me is how socially offensive it is to call someone overweight, but calling them too skinny isn't. It feels equally as offensive, because it usually is.
I think a lot of the skinny shaming people wish they could be the same way instead of looking like 10 pounds of potatoes in a 5 pound sack and constantly having to work out to keep the weight off. And some people like my aunt, can eat anything they want and never gain any weight. She always said she had a straight gut - food went in and straight out, no loitering in the gut allowed.
Body shaming needs to stop completely!! If it doesn't effect your life then why feel the need to comment on it. No matter if your skinny, curvy, overweight, whatever! Love the skin your in. Great take!! X
Great take, people need to stop body shaming period. Its awful that it happens, the skinny shaming, the fat shaming, the hairy shaming, you name it, needs to stop. And why the hell are people shaming others if they are trying to be healthy.
People just don't realize that other bodies are different.
I feel like it's all depends on the personality. By that I mean you can be fat and ashamed and skinny and ashamed. If your ego isn'tthe best you may compare yourself to others and find flaws. We are our own worst critic.
Stop being so fragile. I get tired of seeing these whiny takes on here, everybody has something to complain about, but it annoys me even more when people complain that people "shame" them for things that are positives. I've seen takes about "fit-shaming", some guy complaining about how terrible it is to be attractive, now you're talking about "skinny-shaming" on women, as if being slim as a woman isn't desirable. Jesus Christ.
First off I never said being slim was undesirable, did you not read the part where I said that I love my body. If it came across to you as whining then that wasn't what I meant. I was simply bringing up points on something that has happened to me my whole life. People telling you that you're not a real woman, that you look like a 12 year old boy, that no one will ever want you because you don't have a fat ass, and so on. I don't have a reason to whine really. The pros are good. Abs in a month (two month if you want them rock hard), eat whatever I want, don't really have to work out and I could go on. My take was to say that people should stop making us villans for something that should be a blessing but half of the time feels like a curse. As I said in point 2 people really need to stop making skinny as being inferior and curvy/thick to be the greatest thing there ever was.
I think you miss the point as with the others. Being fat is bad, being slim is good. How can you be shamed for being slim? It's like the fit-shaming example - fit + shaming? Can you really be ashamed of being fit? Would you really take somebody seriously if they say that you should be ashamed of being fit and that you're inferior to them because they're out of shape? How can you be shamed for something that's positive and why would you complain or even allow idiots to affect you when they come out with such bullshit? I don't understand.
It's easy really. You have to think back to puberty and teenage years, because don't think for a second that it starts when you're an adult. This is back when you're self-conscious, uncomfortable in your skin and lack confidence. They can easily get at you through your self esteem. It's it's stupid really stupid, as you said, but to a teenage girl what people say does affect her. I've moved on from it and it doesn't really affect me, but back then used to and there are some girls that even now feel ashamed of being skinny. It's ridiculous and it sounds outrageous but it happens.
I still don't get it, I don't think I ever will. It's like being ashamed of being good looking, ashamed of being successful, ashamed of being tall. Shaming doesn't, or shouldn't work that way around. Shaming has always been a tool to discourage degenerate or unwanted behaviour - things that carry shame are undesirable. Yet here, people are saying that they're being shamed for having desirable traits.
To explain further to me it's like a drug addict "shaming" somebody who doesn't do drugs. If somebody tried to "shame" you for not being a druggie wouldn't you just screw your face up, wonder what the fuck is wrong with them to say something so ridiculous?
Well to further explain my point, in a way, it kind of works like peer pressure. When are you a teenager, because again, all of these insecurities are dragged from teenagehood into adulthood. Things easily get to you. One day you're standing in the mirror and you're wondering if your boobs are too small, if your hips aren't wide enough, if you really are "too thin" and that type of stuff. Really that kind of thing doesn't bother me, I feel blessed with my body, but not all girls can say that and it's really sad that they feel that way. It's partly why many skinny girls feel insecure, unattractive, and generally undesirable. I was in another web page and there was this girl saying that she had never worn a bikini and I couldn't believe it, it sounded ridiculous. And just like her there are many others that I could tell you about.
I think thin is still universally in, and curves are a huge trend now.
And even though what's trending changes all the time.
No one should ever be put down in the process. All women are real women.

I entirely can relate to the “skinny shaming” situation. I know fat shaming is worse a lot but being skinny has become a thing people see as unattractive nowadays and it honestly has made me insecure. I am 5’2 and 99 pounds so I am skinny. I have a nice butt for how small I am but I’ve realized guys want thick girls with unrealistic body’s now (flat stomach, big boobs, big butt, small waist)
sadly this happens now cause women or men who didn't fit into that type of look/body frame where shamed too and are now turning the tables cause for the most part being thin/skinny is globally accepted because of the west. Western beauty standards always negatively impact someone unfortunately.
im a guy who likes big girls, small girls, short girls, tall girls, i like all girls and i fucking hate when anyone gets shamed for their size. fat shaming skinny shaming short shaming tall shaming insert other sort of shaming here. its bullshit and needs to stop.
I am skinny, and everyone says I should gain weight but that's how my body is and I love it, I love my thigh gap I love my hipbones I love my collar bones I love my thighs I love my tinny waist I love my small breasts I love my cute butt, and admire my small body, everyday I just stand in front of the mirror and just admire it even though a lot of people say that i should gain weight, but guess what i love and admire my body the way it is and that's what matters;)

At the end of the day, guys prefer skinnier girls to fat girls. All of that hate you're getting is pure jealousy.
They won't stop shaming but guys also won't stop being interested either, so live loud, you're on top.
Skinny bitch this, fat bitch that. Over all, I don't get the "boohoo, I'm not wanted because of the way I look" shenanigans. Are you depriving others from their right to their own opinion?
Another to point to make here - whatever problems anyone has is their baggage. Don't make it sound like I'm responsible for someone's medical conditions or their complete lack of proper diet.
First of all I've never deprived anyone from their opinion. All that I've said are simply points that most guys and girls have found truth on. Also, when did I ever said anything that made you "responsible"? Lol. You felt like that all on your own. Not my problem...
just stop the hate and let people LIVE how they want to. and have their own beliefs.. political and religious. That is what suppose to be about DIVERSITY
Dude you went completely by the tangent there and added up political and religious issues which is a whole another taco in itself. I'm simply talking about body image and issues here lol.

I did thank you, no I don’t mean that in a sarcastic manner either

I agree as I said in number 4 the double-standard is real.
I think a lot of the skinny shaming people wish they could be the same way instead of looking like 10 pounds of potatoes in a 5 pound sack and constantly having to work out to keep the weight off. Just stop ALL that shaming about sexuality or body.
My point exactly. Thank you.
This Take made sense, but the way it was written annoyed me...
Lol ok. I'll take it as a compliment... 😅
Uhhh... the only idiots who "skinny shame" are 1) other girls who are 2) fat. and 3) just jealous of the skinny girl.
Sooo...
I agree... Most are just jealous but seriously it's annoying and tiresome to see how petty and stupid it can get 🙄🙄🙄
I agree with this as well
@Unit1 Right, like where are the GUYS that are "skinny shaming?" OH, right... they don't exist, really.
My dad did. He taunted at me often "sack of bones".
@Unit1 You a guy though?
That's still skinny shaming, the same act. Men can be raped by women too, it would still be rape.
@Unit1 Whatttt on Earth are you talking about. How did we get on that. We're talking about your dad telling you you're too skinny.
Skinny shaming, remember?
I am skinny, and everyone says I should gain weight but that's how my body is and I love it, I love my thigh gap I love my hipbones I love my collar bones I love my thighs I love my tinny waist I love my small breasts I love my cute butt, and admire my small body, everyday I just stand in front of the mirror and just admire it even though a lot of people say that i should gain weight, but guess what i love and admire my body the way it is and that's what matters;)

@simplyaramdomgirl do apologize but that is usually where it stems from I believe.
