I dropped out of High School at the end of last year (16 years old). First thing I did was get my GED and then wait for College Registration Day which was in August. I am now a full time college student, turning 17 in three days. If I was to do it all over again... I would of still dropped out... But I would of made better friends. The school kids forgot about me and it was a lonely time. It's all good now though (: I plan to finish my basics then stop college for awhile to figure out what I want in life. Try for a small job. When I turn 18, I'm moving out and transferring to another college when I get settled in. Sounds like a plan to failure for most. But, I have things lined up to help me out.
Good job! :)
Never dropped out of either, but I should have dropped out of college after my first year. Was a waste of three years. Now with a degree I'll never use I'm more motivated than ever to do things my way.
Have an opinion?
pretty much the same feeling as college grads. i graduated college and had a moment of "what do i do with my life now shoot i am on my own fuuu" freak out.
I never dropped out of high school and i don't plan to in college. My grandma dropped out of high school though. The reason was so that she could help her mom raise her two younger siblings. After she had my mother, she went to business school and earned her GED where she then graduated from business school. She then worked in the department of welfare for 3 years and then the department of health for 24 years. She then retired and whenever she died, she died a wealthy woman and she spent her money on what she wanted to. She even helped me by saving up money for my college funds. Even though it was little, it helped greatly.
Yes 100% I do often regret not doing well at school! but not everyone in life can be a doctor or a lawyer. I believe if it was meant to be it will be for me
