I have always been a lover of animals and if all possible, I have always been there to help out if I see One of them needed a little TLC.I found a wounded pigeon one time on the side of the road. I put him in my car and took him home, placing him comfortably in my bath tube as his bed, trying to nurse him back to health. I then called the Wild Life Society whom gave me the number of a woman who took in wounded birds of this nature and when I was able to reach her, she told me to bring "Pigey" right in the following day. When I got there, she took him and told me that in the Spring, she leaves the door open for them to make a decision to either stay put, being happy as a lark to remain or if they decide, fly back out into the call of the wild.A few times, not just having dealt with a fine feather friend, I have also taken many a baby kitten and nursed them and nurtured them and kept them for my own. There was one other time, where my cousin and I stopped to pick up a helpless young kitty who had been hit by a car and left to die. We brought him home and spent hours trying to revive him but he passed away... we then buried him in our back yard, along with some other beloved cats who we had loved and who had been part of our family. These defenseless innocent creatures were not asked to be born and sometimes when they find someone who has a heart of gold and able to lend a helping hand, I think they forget how scared they are of us and just succumb to our kindness, realizing right then and there that we are not so scary a creature but... someone with a loving touch instead. xx
I would check it out and see if I can help. After a little bit of checking around I'd call the nearest animal shelter or somebody I know with animal expertise to come help :P
Have an opinion?
I'd feel really upset and call the RSPCA. I love animals and can't stand to see them hurt
I would probably phone up blue cross.
I've dealt with this in multiple occasions. I've taken a stay cat to the vet after I saw it get hit by a car. I pulled over once when I hit a bird. I couldn't get close enough to see if it was hurt because it kept flying further away. I assumed it was just assumed but I'll never know.
depends if it can kill me or not, if it can't then it depends on the animal in question, if its a dog or a beast that favors biting when attacking i would get a wooden stick and cable to force the animal to bite on and tie the wood together to the jaw with the cable (precautionary measure) then check the damage, if its non-lethal then i'll bring it home and try to tame it and nurse it back to health, then put out an apb for it in the police and vet networks, if its lethal i'll bring it to a vet and let them take care of itif its a scratchy type (like cats) then i'll just wrap my hand with a cloth and let it scratch until its claws get buried on it, then inspect the animals injury, and do the same as previously mentionedno matter how much i love animals, my life comes first so i will protect my well-being first and foremost, first rule of the wild :P
I generally help them out.
