Ok well I'm obviously still in school and I'll explain. Most kids take this thing called preschool which is just to prepare them for regular school, although some kids may skip preschool. Preschool is usually at the age of 4 turning 5. Some kids take preschool for two years though starting at age three and graduating at age five. Preschool isn't really a big deal though it just shows you what going to be school is like so it doesn't overwhelm you. Then there's kindergarten which is after preschool. Kindergarten is usually around ages five or six. Then there's first grade, second grade third grade and so on until you reach twelfth grade. For most schools grades kindergarten through fifth are in what we call an elementary school, and sixth through eight grades are in middle school or junior high, and then ninth through twelfth grades are in what we call a high school. Preschool doesn't really even count as a grade but pretty much everyone still has it. Now testing wise we have quite a bit. The big tests usually don't start until third grade. For us we had a state test that we take every year starting in third grade. Once we reached middle school we had to take exams for the first half of the year and the last half of the year. There's also this test that most school si believe are starting that's on the computer, and I believe that's also for third grade up. Does that answer your questions?
