im just curious... if people 'grow up and see its not true'. become adults who know better... then where do you think those kids get those ideas in the first place?what ways did you feel it had benefitted you?
It's true adults teach the kids this stuff. Adults even said to me when I was younger "oh little girls shouldn't be doing that" or things along those lines. I think just when you're older, people accept what you do more. Maybe that's just because a woman is more secure in herself than most young girls, so it might be harder for people to say stuff. And it benefited me once when I took a manual labor job, construction. I know they only took me on the training and then employed me because they don't have enough women doing it and it looked good for the company to have a woman and an ethnic minority one at that.Another time, i worked in lawyers office and the guy actually told me they don't have enough women in the office and it'd be nice for me to work there. So twice in my life I've gotten a job just because I'm female. I think it's similar to when they try to have a certain number of minorities in the company, they want a certain number of women too in male dominated places.
i think most dorms now are coed., so someone has done something about it:)
They didn't do anything that benefitted me. I should be compensated for my mental pain and anguish.
i figured you're being facetious but answered you honestly anyhow. In actuality a lot of people suffered bc women needed chaperones and were not allowed men in their dorms. they could get kicked out of school for it. you didn't need a chaperone did you? so at least there's that.
