Trump screwed up and didn't fund the wall when he could but shouldn't both parties just put their differences aside and fund the wall?

Berlin wall? That might the dumbest comparison I've heard... let's see... wall to separate communist and democratic Germany vs wall for an "immigration crisis" that doesn't exist...
Trump's wall won't stop what matters. Dems should hold strong and force Trump to admit he was an idiot. It was his idea, from the start, to shut down the gov't if he didn't get his way. There are literally hundreds of articles explaining why the way is a total waste of time and money.
Trump should stow HIS ego. Also, even NPR agrees with me:
It wasn’t Trump that screwed up it was Congress. They knew what he wanted from the start but never made it happen. He’s now putting his foot down
That'd be the most sensible decision, but the Democrats know it'd be too big a symbolic victory for Trump and would likely lead to his reelection, as they have no viable candidate, nor policy to win on other than anti-Trump. It's also a symbolic issue for Trump: he's already cracking down on illegal immigration, and a wall wouldn't stop all the issues as much as increased funding for ICE, and going after businesses that hire illegals. So, if they meet him even halfway then it'd be something they could each run on in 2020.
Try telling that to the liberal crybabys xD
Of course they should.
They don't want to give Trump anything he can use as a win so even though in the past everyone who is against the border wall now where I was actually for it they have to act like they're not.
This is one big problem with democracy people don't want stuff to be done not because it's a bad idea but because it makes the other party look good making it far less likely their party will be elected.
