Why is thin-skin Trump still making hateful statements toward John McCain yesterday and today?

March 17, 2019- Is Trump really afraid that McCain is looked upon so much more positively as time goes on in the Republican party and Trump is losing more and more ground and support as his presidency goes on?
Seems Trump cannot stand a hero that died months ago is still getting praise as Trump is losing support in the party for his poor decisions and actions.

  • Who cares? John McCain was a straight-up douchebag who only graduated from the Naval Academy because his father was an Admiral. He was a racist prick, a statist, and an all-around shitty person. Yeah, he was a POW, that sucks, but that is where my respect for him ends.

The only reason most of these people care about what Trump has to say about McCain is because they hate Trump. Look back to the 2008 campaign and see just how much love liberals have for McCain.

All I know is McCain is a true hero and Trump is a proven coward.

  • Because it is current news. Surprise, things still happen after you die. He's talking about a fact that was recently proven in court about McCain.

I also doubt he's afraid of losing ground since his approval rates have rose pretty consistently and he passed 50% this year

  • Cause he was an ass who murdered hundreds of thousands and voted against the policies he's been advocating for for years all because of his jealousy towards Trump.

  • McCain was a war hero. He was a Republican. He probably would have done better in the presidential race if he had not picked a moron for a running mate. But I doubt he would have won as America was not wanting more of a Republican presidency. Most of his voting was in line with his party, but he did stand up to them on certain matters of the well being of Americans. That earned him a disrespect by many Republicans, but not all. And Democrats saw a more human and fair side of him. When he died, Trump was still speaking ill of him, while most Americans, of all political beliefs were praising him. And that just pissed Trump off more.
So anytime Trump is in trouble, he deflects by name calling and lying about anybody who is more popular than him, and that includes McCain.

No, he still would have lost by a land slide. McCain was low energy, corrupt, a murderer, and a cuckservative all in one.

You don't know what you're talking about at all. Yes, you did pay into social security but you'll still likely be receiving more than you payed (unless you die really early) so you'll be a net negative on the tax payer. Again, most minorities are very young, the average age for Hispanics is in the early twenties while it's in the 40s for white people. So if Trump cuts social security and Medicare that will mean minorities like Hispanics in blacks will be paying less in taxes and since a very small minority of them are not on social security (since they don't have many old people) barely any minorities will be negatively affected. Minorities would overall benefit from cutting social security and Medicare.
Here is the data on the average age by race:

Now you're just generalizing, I said a higher percentage of blacks have a favorable approval rating of Trump since Kanye West came out and started praising him, the majority still don't like him. Another fun fact, Trump actually did better with black and Hispanics voters in 2016 than Romney and McCain.

In 2008 only 4% of black people voted for John McCain, in 2012, in 2016 9% of black people voted for Trump!

McCain did get more Hispanics voted in 2008, but Trump received more than Romney. In addition George Bush managed to get 40% of the Hispanic vote, so he likely received a higher percentage due to past Republicans, and it's likely John McCain is the reason the Republicans lost Hispanics.
