No pro-choicer is going to look at this and think "ah, what a wonderful video!"I'm pro-choice and I think abortions are extremely sad, for a multitude of reasons. I don't think abortions are ever something to be taken lightly, or used instead of contraceptives like condoms or pills. However, that doesn't change the fact that accidents happen, contraceptives fail, and women (and sometimes children) who aren't ready end up pregnant. I'd much rather live in a world where they would be given the right to choose what goes on in their own body, over forcing them to go through a pregnancy they don't want/can't afford/wouldn't survive. What should have been mentioned in this video is that only about 10% of women have an abortion in the second trimester. And the reasons why these abortions occur in a majority of cases have to do with complications that would lead to the death of the fetus and a miscarriage anyway. More on that can be read here: www.self.com/.../why-people-get-second-trimester-abortionsJust by looking at the potential risks and adverse effects, I think it's pretty clear that someone would have to be quite desperate to want that type of abortion. It's scary and often heartbreaking to have to go through something like that, and obviously I wish nobody would have to go through it. But the fact of the matter is that banning abortions or making them illegal won't stop women from having them, it'll only force women to have them in dangerous and even more harmful ways. The video was educational and quite neutral up until the last bit when he started preaching about being anti-abortion nowadays. As a doctor who has met so many patients, it almost amazes me that it seems like he still doesn't fully understand *why* women get abortions.
I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video and share this. I agree with a lot of what you said but I don’t believe that having an abortion before the second trimester is any more okay just because it’s less gruesome. Also, an unborn baby dying and being killed are two separate matters I believe. An elderly person can die of natural causes, that doesn’t mean it’s okay to prematurely end his/her life. That doesn’t seem like a valid argument. I don’t think honk abortion can or should be illegal because of it being so acceptable in society and used so much by women. Also I’ve heard of conflicts in other countries where abortion isn’t legal that involve a mother becoming hurt or killed by complications with a pregnancy that couldn’t be legally terminated. If abortion was made legal, there should be adjustments to the rule to make it legal for special cases like that. With that being said, I think more action should be taken to help people avoid having to get abortions. Mostly a push towards planned parenthood having helping/encouraging mothers adopt out their unwanted children as newborns instead of abortion. Also less money should go to planned parenthood for abortion. I’m pretty damn sure there’s some corruption going on there with doctors making a lot of money doing abortions. Therefore they lie to women about what really happens with an abortion and they push that option.
In the US, I don't think planned parenthood is the problem. The problem is your education system (or maybe lack thereof - especially in terms of public schools). Sex ed is laughable in so many schools/states, it's barely existent. Kids don't seem to be learning much about safe sex. There seems to be this weird mindset that if you teach kids about contraceptives and safe sex, it somehow automatically means that all these kids will suddenly go crazy and start having all this sex. But the reality is that the more you try to keep sex on the down low and preach about abstinence, it's just going to make it more taboo and therefore also more interesting to rebellious (and simply just curious) teens. There have been studies concerning this, and it's been shown that there's a direct correlation between a good sex ed program and decreased teen pregnancies.Planned parenthood also shouldn't be some sort of scapegoat for abortions, the majority of their services have nothing to do with abortions.
I couldn’t agree more 👍I never went to sex we because I was homeschooled. So I don’t understand what goes on in those classes. But what you suggested makes sense.

Before you react to the news Pumped out by Main Stream media.Ask yourself these questions1 Who is telling you the story.2 Who owns Who is telling you the story.3 What agenda do they have.DO YOUR HOME WORKI have no problems with abortions carried out England, Wales and Scotland are carried out before 24 weeks of pregnancy or after 24 weeks if the mother's life is at risk or the child would be born with a severe disability. But obviously the earlier it is done the safe it is for the woman. Those governors in the USA who signed off on the late term abortions (up to almost due date), should be forced to watch abortions as above being done to give them some perspective.See this video for a response from a labour and delivery nurse about the abortion bills, FAIR WARNING She's angry !!! You may not agree with her political position, but you cannot blame her for her response on this issue.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-kYAv8qKN0&t=466s
Thank you for sharing this! I don’t understand what you mean though. I completely agree with her political position. I hate that people are pushing later abortions. It’s horrific...I don’t agree that abortions are okay at any stage of a developing babies life. But I can understand your argument. I also don’t believe it’s necessary to make abortions illegal. I think more action needs to be done to prevent abortions, like better sex ed and improved adoption services.
This one gets personal for me...About 65 years ago, my birthmom made a trip to Las Vegas with some girlfriends for the weekend. She got fucked at a cocktail party and returned home pregnant. If not for her decision to bring me to term, birth me and if not for her church finding a good home for me, I would have gone out in the trash along with the coat hangar. That would mean no me, and none of my beautiful high functioning children or my grandchildren would exist. I'm not making a political or moral statement here. This is just my life.I never met my birthmom by choice. Now that I am old, I wish I had thanked her for her sacrifice and giving me a chance. End of story
I appreciate you sharing this. Honestly this warms my heart so much but also makes me sad to know that thousands of unborn babies don’t get a chance at life like you did. Thanks for sharing
I am pro life, and yes I have been a pregnant teen that chose life for my daughter. The procedure shown is barbaric. That's the only way I can describe it.You wrote:Also, an unborn baby dying and being killed are two separate matters I believe. An elderly person can die of natural causes, that doesn’t mean it’s okay to prematurely end his/her life. That doesn’t seem like a valid argument. The late Dr. Francis Schaeffer was concerned about how abortion could lead to the devaluing of human life in general. Your paragraph reminded me of that.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6txspISI1MThis is nothing new. Only the most deranged individuals can be abortionists.
Thanks for sharing this video. I haven’t seen it before... it’s truly horrible. 😭
Killing babies will never be ok. I pray that God shows every person who has had an abortion or has performed one, Mercy. They will need it.
Amen to that
Who even find out about pregnancy so late? I have no idea why someone would wait. Contraception is not 100% safe and there are MANY people who absolutely never want to be pregnant. Abortion is needed. Pregnancy is disgusting and getting rid of it as fast as possible surely doesn't look like they presented on the video
Besides, abortion is currently illegal and we fight for the right to have it up to 12th week. That's not even close 20 like shown in the video
Most women who get this type of abortion actually want to keep the baby but end up having the abortion because of complications with the pregnancy, or because of a fetal anomaly. Rarely do women purposefully wait until the second trimester to get an abortion.
I’d just like to say that 89% of abortions happen during the first trimester. abort73.com/abortion_facts/us_abortion_statistics/
Oh god, I can't watch more than 1 minute in. Why people support this over adoption I'll never understand.
I can’t understand it either! I appreciate your comment. And no worries about not wanting to finish it. It’s hard to look at.
I'm pro life and don't want tonsee the clip cause i know that it contains scenes that i don't like to see
Understood thanks for sharing 👍
Your welcome 🙂
Not a pro-choicer, but I've seen that video before. Pretty fucking disturbing.
It is called harvesting babies for their parts for money. Some were secretly taped bragging on how much money they would make killing babies.
You realize that recording was fake right?
@Soteris I am saying clinics harvest baby parts for riches
They do not and you also mentioned "secretly taped" which probably refers to back a while when some anti abortionists doctored and faked a few videos and instantly got caught as liars. Surprised you saw their videos but not the massive shitshow of them being fake.
I'm a pro-lifer, not a pro-choicer. I cover the abortion issue in the My Take titled: If Unborn Babies Could Talk..…….
What do I think about it? A sad attempt to win an argument by using emotions rather than facts and relying on a dishonest authority figure to try legitimize it.
Chopping a baby up and dumping it in a bucket is justified then?
It is not a baby and how else would you prefer they do it as well as what else would you put it inside? This is simply common sense.
It is a baby. It’s not a parasite. It’s not common sense.
It is a fetus.. Like literally that is the definition.
Yes a fetus is an unborn offspring of a mammal or human. It is a baby.
It is not a baby. Using this pointless emotional argument is not going to do you any good and just highlights your actual lack of any factual basis to your claim.
Just because that fetus hasn’t developed into a functioning human doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve human rights. Killing unborn children is murder.
Why is it murder? Why should it have human rights? You never explain any of this and just tell me to accept your views for no reason except an emotional call of "BABY!".
Gee. I thought the graphics of how (the doc) must dismember the baby was very factual.
@Massageman How so? That is just common sense since getting it out otherwise would become a challenge.
Thats disgusting. its should only be done when the child is threatening the mother's life or when the child will suffer severely throughout life.
Oh well. Greeks used to throw newborns off cliffs because they didn't seem adequate to fit into their society. Life goes on
I used to be pro choice, but I'm not anymoreThere are other ways
I’m pro choice. I watched the whole video. I thought it was very well informed. My position has not changed but I’m glad the doctor found his own since of clarity ☺️
2 things:Most abortion take place during the first trimester. And the video hasn’t made any arguments, just appeals to emotion. To be frank, anyone could make anything, even the most arbitrary, emotional and sway you.
I’m not a pro choice and this made me sick!!! I almost started crying.
I care as much as our president cares about immigrants children and you about minorities.
Abortion should be crime
