You can't keep people from seeking freedom forever? You literally enslaved and robbed the natives but no one ever wants to talk about that lol
And you annexed the kingdom of hawaii forcefully (you never gave it back)
Asker: I said this was what the UK learned from the revolutionary war. It obviously didn't change what the UK did, until the countries they held got strong enough and organized enough, to wage a war, that they let them go.
Asker: I hope you aren't really trying to compare America's colonial issues with those of the UK. The UK subjugated many times the numbers of peoples that the U. S. has. And less we forget, when the earlier killings of Native Americans happened, it was under the auspices of the UK.
The native Americans were rooting for us against you in 1812 believe it or not lol
we did a lot to protect our native American allies from y'all
ASker: And you don't want to acknowledge that England systematically whipped out slave population in the Caribbean islands by over work and poor food. And England also gave Native Americans small pox infested blankets, to kill them off.
Seen this too lol
And. . ?
i see it evrey Thanksgiving, racist holiday
Slavery - not just of Africans, but of many others, as well - is a part of world history. It is not a uniquely American institution. It existed for several millenia before 1776.
And, by the way, the characterization of Thanksgiving as the day when we claimed America for the white man and drove out the native Americans shows an abysmal lack of appreciation for history.
Dont the natives have "The National Day of Mourning" When the whites have "Thanksgiving"
Technically we are the ones who "claimed America for the white man" since we are the ones that planted them there in the first place although oddly throughout history they still seem to have had better relations with us than y'all
Thanksgiving was not celebrated with regularity in the Unites States until 1863, when President Lincoln issued his Thanksgiving Proclamation:" I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to his tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and Union."Since 1863, Thanksgiving has been a national holiday in the US.
