Just the hours kids can spend there in school is astonishing. I figure that's going to yield some bright ones here and there at least, and that reflects in the national PISA scores there in math and science.
Meanwhile, while Chinese high school students are going to school from 7AM to 11PM, an American high school student is only going from like 8AM to 3PM.
And they don't have any participation trophies or give bonus points for effort there to my knowledge. It's very strict. As a boy, I used to go to school in Japan from 7AM to 5PM for elementary school 6 days a week, but China makes that look like a vacation.

True not all of them. But I believe China and other parts of the world have been never influenced by the ideas and the principles about human rights of the Enlightenment and therefore they have never been and probably will never be democratic.
indeed but their incarceration rates are less than the states... go figure. also in the world there are 71 self made female billionaires and 48 of them are in china
I have an answer for both.About incarceration... They would probably have figured out that forced lavour is more productive for the country.About billuonaire women , i hardly believe they have earned their fortune because the know well " the rules of the free market" as in China free marker exists less than 25 years. I believe they are prominent menbers of the Communist party that used theur position to make a foertune and had their money transferred in feee market nations and they becane rich there.
they came from nowhere else they wouldn't be on the list of 'self made' billionaires and as you said china leads in science but also tech etc. also if you assume communism doesn't offer equal rights to women, the mass murderer stalin himself was the first to bring in equal pay back in 1913 when women were helping to build the moscow underground
Communism is against my beliefs. The picture sof the starved Russians and Chinese people are not long gone !!!In China tge Hdi 0,5 in 1990 and it is 0,7 today , because they enabled invensments in the 1990's. They gathered through free economy and then they redistributed seeing the results today.I do not understand how people do not see the positive effects of let's call it Capitalism when a small autononous region of Hong Kong co tributed of the one quarter of GDP of all China when it became a part of it in 1997.
* China accumulated money and then redrisputed it.
i wasn't supporting the virtues of any communist regime but just giving some clarity on the capitalist system too... the system where in america alone there are reported to be 43.1 million living in absolute poverty and 100 million in near poverty. one in five can't read and write properly and you are more likely to die from rellatively minor ailments. i think there needs to be a serious look at finding a better way for all political systems in the world
It was not an attack by any means !!! But i do not know how people still believe in Marxism.I guess it is the Utopia thing that draws them.Yes U. S. has it's problems. I do not kow about the others. In my country we have more than 1 in 5 who cannot read or write properly.
sorry i missed you was in greece but i mentioned the states because unlike Europe they have took capitalism to the next level... yes marxism is out of date and proved not to work but in many ways i think we are seeing the same with democracy too
Definitely. What is the next atage of capitalism?
collapse just like we saw with communist russia but i hav no answers beyond that... my personal plan is to go and live offgrid in rural bulgaria
They maybe high tech but not trendy. Advancement and trendiness aren't the same thing.
So clever people do not need democracy?
No, I'm saying that's why they're scientifically advanced.
