It's called inflation that's why the green new deal sounds so ridiculous we can't just magically pay everyone that kind of money
... That has literally nothing to do with anything I just said, besides the minimum wage has not even kept up with inflation in the first place so in reality wages has gone down. My argument was that the company needs X amount of work done irrespective of how much it cost. If it cost too much the company goes bust. If they can't do X amount of work the company goes bust. Demanding a higher wage will not lower the amount of work they need to do so they will simply have to figure out how to pay their employees.
I disagree, people getting paid roughly the same for less work means people won't get burnt out as quickly. And I dont know about you but I'd rather not be a physical wreck at 60
That’s true but I can imagine many supervisors would try to make their workers do 8 hours worth of work in the amount of 6 instead. The same amount of work just in less time. Retailers do it all the time.
Quality over quantity as they say, sides isn't it better to work smart then hard anyway? If we can find away to be more efficient I dont see the problem
That’s true as well.

Correction: an increase in minimum wage does help a few people, mostly liberal politicians because it offers a reason for ignorant voters to support them. It also helps a few workers by removing the competition who would accept a lower wage for the same work, thereby harming a much larger group of workers who employers will not be able to afford to hire.
