Have people specifically told you they blame you for that? It’s probably more about them expecting you to stand in solidarity with those who *have* experienced racism based on the rules and laws put forth by other white males.
See! you just did it. I wasn’t alive for slavery, or Jim Crow. But somehow you think I need to feel guilty for them.
Nope, I don’t think that. I’m neither American nor African-American and don’t have strong opinions about the Jim Crow laws. I’m simply pointing out that it’s unlikely you’re being victimized by an entire group of people.
