I mean nothing is ever perfectly "fair" in this sense. I could put just as much effort as Adele trying to sing in front of audiences but few, if any people are going to be willing to pay me anything while many would pay large sums of money to see Adele sing in front of a live audience. I could train just as hard as Usain Bolt to try to compete in the 100 M dash but he's likely to win a gold medal and all kinds of fame and prestige while I probably won't even qualify. So that's that. That's maybe about as fair as the world can get and sustain since otherwise, we might have to live in a world where people are content being forced to pay me as much as Adele to sing in front of large audiences and give both me and Usain Bolt gold medals, or neither of us, for participating in a race.
