Does the EU have to respect British law?

I’m from the United States so I don’t know much about EU or British law. Last night the British parliament sighed an order that would block a no deal Brexit and would require Boris Johnson to ask for an extension until January 31, 2020.

Issue I see is on the side of the EU it comes to desperate to hear a lot you doesn’t have to respect for the law I understand and could easily deny the UK an extension and demand that England either except there deal by oct 31 or leave without a deal. And since they UK pasted this law would it mean that they are forced to take the deal the EU propose to them which has been shut down three times. Or is it still possible that the UK can be forced to leave without a deal.
