I feel like people downplay the importance of IQ in our society by a lot. I can't stand when high IQ people complain about their procrastination and lack of study habits, yet they score high marks on all of their exams. I remember a guy saying that he wish he didn't procrastinate in high school, yet got a 3.5+ GPA while I did the same thing and barely got a 3.0. IQ is the most important thing in society. If you have a low IQ, you will be a drone for the rest of your life unless you become lucky and become famous and rich. Even if you were to fill up your IQ, a person with 130 IQ could come along and take your job and earn more money because he/she is naturally smarter than you. I recognize that I have a low IQ and I will amount to nothing even if I were to try, yet people downplay the importance of IQ like it isn't the biggest factor of being successful. Why downplay it?
