If he's 33 he would be a millennial not a boomer.
ah, my bad. regardless, he sure is behaving like a boomer.
Swing and a miss
Are you sure? Oh, yes, I see that DADT was 1993, and in 2011 it was repealed, but sodomy was illegal in most states during the Vietnam war, so proving you were not eligable to serve would, presumably, leave you open to prosecution. All the black and blue-ish areas legalsed sodomy up to 1980, only the darkest before the mid 1970's.
Lots of people dodged draft by being gay, sodomy was rarely prosecuted
Still, a major social liability, was it not? And since the repeal of DADT, aren't they eligible?
So, the question's a bit redundant, since they are eligable, because they're equal? Yay!
Yes they will die defending neoliberalism

There is a draft, well its technical name is selective service. But it hasn't been used in decades, doesn't mean it won't happen again.
@Tyme1313 : My point is, gays are already serving in the military, so the draft would make no more difference for them, than for others.
It already happened, gay rights mean the people who evades the draft by being gay should have been drafted
the draft will never happen again
There was a backdoor draft in the Iraq war with the individual ready reserve
But wouldn't the gay rights movement be less enthusiastic if they realized they had to be drafted
Selective Service mate. All men over 18 must register
@Sailor_Jerry61 That's different and it is also plain stupidThe United States has not have a true draft since the Vietnam War which was over 40 years ago
Its not really different. We just aren't drafting service members right now
@Sailor_Jerry61 I think that the government should stop it or they should be in prison for overstepping their line
The government should be in prison?
@Sailor_Jerry61 Yep and replace with a new government who does not force the Selective Service
