Did she have problems with her double barreled name, my ex used to have problems with her in that nobody could pronounce it. Took me a while to learn how to say it.
Embrace racism? Are you serious? What dictionary are you using?
Modern Canada is not racist, not as a people at least, there are one offs but mostly we get along
The Trail of Tears was initiated not because America hated Indians, but because Andrew Jackson wanted to steal the land and offer it in order to buy votes. The founder of the DNC was a bonafide psychopath. The DNC is and always has been the biggest racket in US history. When KKK racism no longer turned a profit, they turned to a new con: promoting degeneracy amongst all groups, and labeling as "racist" anyone who stood in the way.
@ObscuredBeyond Trail of Tears you ignorant twit is Canadian not American. It involves women who have been murdered. Has nothing to do with reserves or moving natives. Learn something about history before you yip like a dumb dog.
There was one in the US. And Jackson was behind it. Canada may have had its own version, but your mouth tells me that you're too triggered to be rational. So have some pie and let's honk.
There are other countries that have elected sexist and racist leaders too, so I’m glad we’re not the only stupid country on the planet.
True but his case is very clear cut with pictures and admissions of guilt.
The admissions are what sets him apart. At least he owned up to it but that’s about as much praise as I can give him.
Looks likely the liberals will trigger an election with an expectation of better performance.
@0112358 I guess we’ll have to sit tight for the next year or so and see what happens.
No it's because their is concrete evidence.
Concrete evidence of his bad choices? Yeah, I know that.
No black face, no groping. No punching women in the tits.
He did those things because he’s an idiot. What’s your point?
How can you give him credit for owning up to it? Everyone knew he did it from the pics it was obviously him so of course he could not deny it.
@OrderofKaos That’s true. But look at it compared to Trump, who has all kinds of skeletons in his closet with photo or audio evidence, yet he’s always denying everything.
Right but here is the thing I am not saying Trump has not done anything wrong but everything the media and Democrats try to say he did wrong backfires because they make up things instead of go after him for anything that truly happened so until something legit comes to light I don't have that much of a problem with him other than what he tried to do to healthcare.

Pretty much everything that has been reported about Trudeau (and also Scheer, his opponent) by the Canadian media is a fact. The blackface was years ago, but it still happened. Same with the brown face and the turban. The pictures of him with the Native headdress is from a ceremony hosted by the AFN - the headdress was bestowed upon him by the national chief. The picture with him wearing the yarmulke was taken at a synagogue (possibly the one in Quebec that was attacked). Then there was the whole SNC scandal, where the fallout resulted in him kicking two prominent women out of caucus, one of whom was the AG and also a First Nations woman. Didn’t bode well for him at all.Of course the media has a habit of blowing things out of proportion and publishing hyperbole, but if you scrape away the fluff on these stories, you are left with the facts.
Black face isn't racist?
i Met to say he, But now that i think about it, I would say it has to depend on the context, If your making fun of black people then yes it is racist. If you do to a Halloween party dressed up as Neil degrees Tyson I don’t think it’s racist, Just like it would not racist for a black guy to Put on white face and dress up as Eminem. I think it’s all in context.
Dude blackface is racist so cut it out, leaving burning crosses on black people's lawns is also racist and not in the least bit a funny prank.
The burning crosses I agree with is racist. Again it’s all depends of the context of the black face, if it’s met to insult people it’s racist if your in a small town and want to put on the play Othello you need a black character it’s literally required for othello to be black because that’s the hole reason the bad guy hates him is because he’s black, it’s Shakespeare calling out racism back in the 1500s. If you going to a party dressed as Jay Z your not racist it all depends on context
He only got re-elected because of the way our system works. So no, most people are not actually that stupid 😂
@musicbrain5 Then please explain, because I'm not familiar with Canadian elections
Basically, we have a single member plurality system, aka first past the post. The candidates who receive the most votes win to represent their riding and therefore they win a seat in the House of Commons. We do not directly vote for the Prime Minister. If a party is elected into power (either for a majority or a minority government), their leader becomes PM (assuming they won in their riding). Honestly, I’m just posting some links for you because it’s even too confusing for me to explain properly. I get the idea, but I’m not an expert.www.elections.ca/content.aspxen.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_electoral_systemen.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-past-the-post_voting
@musicbrain5 So they vote for the PARTY like in Europe? And they don't necessarily know which candidate will be selected for the party?
Also check out these videos. The first one was posted during the last election campaign. Ignore anything it says about Trudeau wanting to change the system - he didn’t do shit. Second one is just a general overview of first past the post and it’s limitations, using the example of a Constitutional Monarchy (like what we have in Canada). https://youtu.be/Mr-93C176qIhttps://youtu.be/s7tWHJfhiyo
In a nutshell, yeah. We have no control over who is chosen to lead the parties.
@musicbrain5 Okay, I'll watch them tomorrow on my day off. Just reply something really quick so I have it in my notifications.
Have you checked out the videos?
@musicbrain5 Just the first one. It was enough. That's a really stupid system. So they're just gonna let his bribery scandal slide? If Trump did that, the Left would hang him
It’s just the way the system works here. It would likely be a long and expensive process to repeal or even just amend the Elections Act to introduce a new system. In general, MPs (including whoever is PM), love to chat about tabling bills that would effectively change the system. It’s usually to garner votes as nothing has ever gone past a first or second reading in the House.Politicians bribe left and right, whether on a small scale or a large one. That’s a fact and while it’s troubling, it doesn’t bother me as much as the racism thing. Trudeau claims he is not a racist but let’s get fucking real here. He even let investigations into murdered and missing Indigenous women and children fizzle out.
@musicbrain5 I know the reason they didn't impeach him for it, is because they were certain he wouldn't get reelected. I am angry that he got off scott free. There was also the issue of him pardoning that terrorist scumbag who killed an American soldier.I'm with you on the racism part. It's not even about the blackface, we all make mistakes, but if you're gonna run on an anti-sexist, anti-homophobic and anti racism ticket, then don't support Muslims or do the example YOU gave. The Canadian government has a history of persecuting indigenous people, as well as spewing hatred against the U. S.
We don’t impeach here, but instead opposing MPs will try to hold a vote of non-confidence in the leadership. There’s none of this inquiry and mudslinging BS. It never happened in the last session of Parliament because the Liberals had a majority. This time around, they have a minority so who knows what will happen. They essentially have a leash around their necks now.I’m not sure when we’ve spewed hate towards the US, but nevertheless it would be stupid to do so. It would be stupid of the US to dish it back as well. It was probably over trade or something though.
@musicbrain5 I'm so glad I don't live in CanadaI know one period of hate had something to do with trade, and Canadians were pissed at us. Then another instance was when they said they would arrest George W Bush if he ever set foot in the countryAnd one instance had something to do with illegal bankingAnd of course they hate us nowBut I always got that vibe from there. I was charged extra at attractions for being an American, and last time I was there a bunch of Muslim protesters were talking about how the U. S. supports ISIS and destabilized the Middle east. It's kind of true, but yeah, they HATE us.One Chinese Canadian wouldn't let me take a shit in his gas station, and I was only a kid
I think you’ve got most of that wrong, but I don’t care to fact check right now. I definitely don’t recall anyone stating they would arrest Bush - that’s gotta be straight from The Onion. Or maybe CNN - I can’t tell the difference now. It’s cool that you base your opinion of Canadians on just those things, though. I have no idea where you get the idea that we hate the US.
