So that offers some yardstick by which to judge all this. Mr. Trump did better than Mr. Obama, but he inherited a growing economy that had been held back somewhat by the Obama Administration's more regulatory policies. It is a good economy, but it is an improvement and not, as Mr. Reagan's was, a wholesale turnaround from that which came before it.Moreover, again, prominence must not be mistaken for power. The government can create the conditions conducive to a growing economy. However, that does not means that it grows the economy - this latter point again being the central insight of the Reagan agenda. So long way around. It is a very good economy on a sliding scale. It is cannot be divorced from what came before it. The past is always prologue as the old saying goes. That said, Mr. Trump can fairly, according to the rules of politics, take a bow. However, unlike Mr. Trump's claims, he has not brought a new Golden Age. Indeed, throw in an aging demographic and soaring budget deficits and this is an economy that is by no means out of the woods. So best advice - do not lose perspective. As John Cardinal Henry Newman said, "Spring passes into summer and through autumn into winter. Only the more surely, by its ultimate return, to triumph over the grave toward which it resolutely hastens from its first hour. We mourn over the blossoms of April because they are to whither. But we know that withal that April is one day to have its revenge upon November, by the revelation of that solemn circle that never stops. Which teaches us in our height of hopes ever to be sober. And in our depths of desolation, never to despair."
Yes, it’s day of reckoning coming soon.
Well is today “anytime soon”? Yes the haters will look the other way, especially the media, who are not the least bit a “free press”- rather they’re bouncing their heads up and down in the Dems collective laps. I ptefer to judge people by their ACTIONS, not their words. Today the latest numbers came out, and they are the most positive ever. Maybe “it’s the economy, stupid” is an old quote that is still relevant today.
I just invite everyone on my followers list. Sorry to bother you. Just ignore next time.
Any user spamming your notifications just block and then unblock. That gets you off the automatic spamming list they push for there questions.
I’m not spamming anyone. I don’t even know how to do that. @mr. bizzybodynault.🤷🏻♂️
@NaultD How is inviting a follower to one of your questions spamming? If they don't want to be invited then they should not follow someone. Frankly 9/10 of my followers never post anything in my questions. I'd kick all their asses off my follow list if I knew how to. As a matter of fact I don't accept followers anymore.

Note that with the very little influence I mean the general conjuncture in terms of affecting recession, economic booms and such. Sure, presidential policy may boost economy with a bit, but an economy is a mammoth tanker to move and mostly depends on consumers to take decisions
Or for the tl;drShort-term economic growth (of which we’ll know in some years whether this is truly Trump policy instead of other effects) is only a part of the story on an economy and economic policy
So, in summary, whatever you do, never say anything positive about the us. That always comes through to us, in your replies. Thanks as always for your opinion.😐😐😐
@Girther10It has absolutely the square root of jack shit to do with Trump, Republicans or conservatism. Basic econometrics teaches us we can isolate the effects of e. g. policy by compensating for various variables. This means we can let the statistics tell us whether Trump’s policy had any positive effect. It is a far, far more accurate way of telling whether something was beneficial to short-term than just eyeballing based on two things happening at the same time, assuming causation. As economic data tends to be slow to be released and as you really want a few years of data for it to be accurate, it will take a while to properly assess whether Trump’s policies truly made a positive impact. As for long-term, short term booms are not worth price instability or long-term harm, which we simply are not able to predict 100% accurately. It means there is always uncertainty over whether policy is good in the long-term, because the data is not available for 5-10 years in the future. I mean, Federal Reserve does monetary policy. They control half of economic policy and can respond to anything way more quickly than a federal government (no political process to go through), yet you’d praise Trump for their actions (kf it causes economic succes) while the Federal Reserve is independent (by law) and sin number 1 in monetary policy is for the head of state to interfere with central bank.
Maybe your confused. You must have the wrong person.
You should try your jargon on someone who understands wtf you’re saying. Bc idgaf!🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Okay, literally 1 difficult word: econometrics. Simple enough, statistical analysis of economic data. Isolating whether it was Trump policy causing economic booms or other effects, and to what extent. Rest is pretty jargon-free
Ok I get it. You have knowledge of economics and want to let everyone know. But it’s falling on deaf ears with me, because I didn’t have a clue what that all means, except your last statement. I know whatever it is that you said is negative, and that was my only comment.
Most things are quite basic. I mean, god help you if you do not comprehend the word “data”, “monetary policy”, “economic boom”, “isolation”, “long-term”, “central bank”, “determinant”. “Conjuncture” was even clear from context.
Basically all those things are something you’ll get to know whenever you turn on the news when Trump criticizes anything the Federal Reserve. What the Federal Reserve does > monetary policyWhat is the Federal Reserve > a central bank
Just to note, that’s only your opinion. “Oh no! Since Trump took over, it hasn’t grown at the rate that was projected! “ Holy crap, whatever shall we do? Not the “projected rate!” Were dooomed... somebody call a waaaaahmbulance!! 😂😅🤣😅😂
You’re right, it should not have anything to do with partisan politics, but it does now! Thanks to you...😳😳😳
Lmao you are really into trump🤣Like a sheep
an opinion based on what man financial experts have said... you know people who can form words of more than one syllabel and let me be very clear on this... i am not a democrat
Because simple macroeconomic indicators like economic growth of GDP do not take in account distribution of income.Economic growth and strength of an economy is not fair to everyone
@tartaarsaus you can't really go too micro because state and local governments play a huge role in some of these numbers. For example of california enacts a policy that increases or decreases homelessness its not necessarily something that has to do with the president or federal govt. And cali is the top homelessness. So whatever they do has a big effect on such numbers. GDP, govt debt, inflation, stuff like that is far more controlled at the federal level then by state or local governments.
@Daniela1982- facts never start with “if”🤷🏻♂️
@tartaarsaus Come on, they have enough to spend billions on a new submarine and aircraft carrier but not enough money for veterans to get the proper care at a VA hospital or to help homeless vets who gave their all for their country. Plus Trump has spent like $30 million on vacation trips at the taxpayers expense, some of who can't afford to retire or go on a vacation themselves. I don't call that kind of stuff being in a good economy.
@Daniela1982 to be fair, new submarines are pretty damn important for the US nuclear deterrent, which is essential to national security. But yeah, costs could be cut. But that was not the point I was making. I was just saying that the metric used to designate economic booms is GDP, which is a flawed metric
Yes, and it’s things like his trade negotiations that are largely responsible for his over-the-top numbers. I’ll talk about his cabinet or his people anytime it comes up. So, you’re 0 for two.. got any other nonsense you want to embarrass yourself with?
I believe the numbers that all the agencies put out each month. I don’t believe just anyone, you would fall into that group, for example... so that makes it 0 for three, you’re numbers are going the wrong way mrbrooklynn pussy.
Well do you believe everything you’re told? I’m an astronaut, by the way...🤣😂😅
Bring back an alien on your next mission so we know once in for all if they are real.
Lol why are guys butthurt chill and shut the fuck up with your insecurities showing up.Jeez...And I an entitled to have an opinion whether it bothers you or not, I really don't care.
All I’m saying is that the democrats cannot be relied on to be accurate. They want the economy to go bad because they want Trump to fail, theybprove it every single day. Of course you’re entitled to your opinion. And it does not bother me whatever that opinion happens to be. It has nothing to do with anyone’s “insecurities”, whatever the hell that means.🤷🏻♂️ I am unaware of anyone being butthurt, except for you. 🤷🏻♂️. by the way, I will never shut the fuck up.
Instead of acknowledging something positive, you jump in with a negative statement like that, so you can’t be surprised when you’re confronted about it.
Of course it shows that you got butthurt just read again the irony in your answer and the one of the girl.At least I wasn't offensive and I am not even American so I could care less really. But I don't like trump nor his foreign policy especially in the middle east. And I know obama actually improved the economy since bush put you in a lot of debt. But I didn't like obama's foreign policy either.I didn't positive statements are only allowed? So what I state a negative statement? You can't handle it you and the 2nd opinion poster without getting offended jeez...And yes that shows that you are insecure.Because simply someone that is confident of their opinion really couldn't care less of other's statements don't get worked out like that and get defensive.
Other statements and wouldn't get all worked up**
Ow ow oups ignore me mentioning the 2nd opinion poster🤣
