Racism has no colour despite it being largely about colour.
Contrary to old beliefs, it's not just white people who can be or are racist despite them being plastered as the poster people for racism.

Black people can definitely be and some are racist. Anyone can be racist. But since they're not white, it can go down radar much easily in society and some people even consider it "impossible" to be racist if you're black or non-white.
And that is slowly somewhat changing, thankfully and hopefully much more.

Yeah, that's the one I've heard more people say in my life, the impossible to be racist one. I get your first paragraph as well, it's more about culture, or belief than ethnicity. Two groups can start defining a different ethnicity based on these things.

Exactly. It's all about mindest and how delusional one chooses to be through their "-ist" and discriminatory beliefs (racist, sexist, classist and so on).
We're literally the same species lmao and we still manage to disrespect.

Of course they can. I didn't have this experience myself, since where I am from the vast majority of people are Caucasians, but I have heard of this before.
Racism by it's definition can apply to everyone, it is more related to character rather than skin colour. (if someone is a racist or not I mean)

But hey! Let's all be like Panda! 🐼

Yeah, it is an issue here, I've only seen more racism rather than less as I get older. That worries me more than any starting conditions I observe is when something keeps getting worse and more tense rather than better and easier.

Well, lets hope that your peception is wrong.

I think its hard to know, the internet can amplify ideas sometimes and make things seem more significant than they are, it seems to me.

I would expect things to get better over time as we are all exposed to ideas from outside our borders.

Why dont Americans understand irony though?

So true, I had mentioned ethnic cleansings in another comment. With WWII as an exception, those are usually a group of people killing more people of the same race as then for one difference that just can't stand. The concept eludes me, I just get that it is indeed fact.

Define "racist" and I can answer the question with certainty. The problem with this question is that different people use different definitions for that term.

When people say that black people can't be racist, they're referring to institutionalized racism. Institutionalized racism is the propensity in society to treat different races as lower class and discriminates against them as such. I'm not arguing for or against the validity of the presence of this in modern society, just stating that it's a thing.

In a situation where institutionalized racism exists, any hatred or negative feelings that the discriminated classes have for the dominant class is directly reactionary to the discrimination that they experience, so any racist behavior that black people have towards white people (as an under-represented minority facing discrimination from the majority), is not racism but reactionary resistance to a society that at large, treats them as inferior.

The idea is that if a black person hates white people it's because a white-dominated society has treated them like shit, and so their reaction isn't racism but justifiable anger.

Now of course, if you're a white person, and you encounter someone who's angry about the way they feel a white-dominated society has treated them, and they react to you negatively based on your skin color, you're going to perceive that as unfair and racist as you personally aren't the one that mistreated them. Some would argue that this is a problem with your perception of the situation since as a part of the dominant class, you have the privilege to have never dealt with a society that overall treats you poorly, and do not understand the reason behind why this other person is angry.

Valid or not, I hope that helps to clarify the position.

Somewhat, on the flip side of that coin ADA didn't pass until after racial parity began to be achieved. So by that logic I should be able to beat the shit out of people for disability oppression, I was born with it, it defines part of who I am. Though the circumstances of it do not define my situation in life, the world is largely dominated by non-disabled people.

Yes, actually you have helped me greatly with this one.

"reactionary resistance" Have you ever seen that pulled off without people getting hurt? I think Jesse Jackson was the last person to come to my mind who achieved as much. That was in the 80's, 90's, if memory serves, with the rainbow coalition.

I think it's possible. Racist against white, Hispanic, Indian, Asian... It's all fair game. White is a harder sell but it's an idea of stereotyping that all white people behave and act the same. If they were getting an oil change would they prefer to get oil from a black person over a white person. It's small form of it but I think it kind of counts... Some might argue they are being safe and choosing what they feel comfortable with but actively choosing to stay with their own race is a behavior that could be seen as what white people did...

But I have one thing these idiots who keep blaming me for their shit, that they don't have. A backbone. You do what you want, and I hope you make it. Me, I try to get by without blaming other people. Of course. Although I am probably going to be at least somehwat compassionate, because they probably believe all white people are racist. Historically we were but we are not now. But marxists and illuminati want to cause division. In the words of the great MLK, "Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that"

But yes they can. there's many black racist people and some of them just think were weird or omething or think white girls are corny, others think we really are racist. It depends on the reason if they deserve my sympathy. But I won't let anyone hurt me or cause me physical violence or bully me harass me a lot without me retaliating. My sympathy would go out the window.

He is antisemitic, but the New Jersey shooter murdered Jews. There have also been African leaders who made calls against racial minorities in Africa, including Asians. @Pink2000 Black Americans are not the same as Africans. One is African, one is African American, much as I'm Italian, but I'm an American. This makes me a Caucasian American. The citizenship is different. Though Ethiopia has been on the rise in recent years. Those were always my favorite clients, great food, paid in cash, strong ethics. Fantastic parties too.

So it's more rare for black people to be racist due to a past stereotype? I'm confused on that one. Could you clarify? I'm not sure if it's because things are simply different in SA than in the US or UK, but I honestly don't get it :/

So white people are seen as the most racist because of pasdt incidents, SA was the only country to label it but segregation happened everywhere and due to this we seen as more racist or its more distinct.
It could also be more distinct because it's a reference to the past which is the main impator.
