Don't forget the water pistol 😄
Kids birthday parties got really wild for a while. I did a few home parties with a full homemade food spread, games, decorations, etc. for 10 kids in a small apartment living room but some that my daughter went to were really something. Beauty make up parties at specialty stores. I think she got at least 1 limo ride in elementary school. Lots of ChuckECheese parties, bowling parties, etc. At 2 went to a putt putt golf party. I was waiting for one of the kids to hit someone with a putter accidently. Luckily that didn't happen.
Tony, it was cold fall weather when leaves turn orange and wrack up piles to jump in lol no thanks to water guns, brrrr :pSejla, I never had a limo till my 21st bday and lady cousins and aunts took me bar hopping lolol
What you said about the autumn leaves and cold made me shiver and felt so romantic, it was the era when everything was real and the simplicity was at it's greatest 🙂If i had a time machine, i'd sell everything i have and go back to live in the 70's and 80's era and i wonder how will miss amber peanut butter jelly looks like at these era's , maybe she was sitting in front of the tv just couple of inches away and watching daniel son and mr. miyagi in the karate kid and dreaming to have her 1st kiss with her cheeks blushing red 😄
I know it's a whole other world. I think this is the same girl who at 5th grade was dressing very flashy and wearing make up and trying to get boyfriends. It was very sad.
@sejla... Are u talking about me as the slutty fith grader? Just curious :)
Reminds me of something I read about a Roman dad had written on a stone tablet (for real) about how his son who was off in the military was lazy, etc. etc. I can not find the article again because I've tried but it seems that complaining about the generations below one has been pretty common for thousands of years.
You put a lot of effort into this post lol ill try and remember to vote you most helpful... but why put in this much effort?
because it irks me that so many older adults tear down younger adults. I find much more good in the younger generations than bad. To be honest a lot are more responsible too and hard working.
Plus my daughter is just at the dividing point age wise at 20.
What dividing point? The dividing point of adulthood?

u r a millenial
@Shamalien No I’m not actually. I’m actually Gen Z so I’m not involved in this.
What year u born?
Yea thats because we are all wiser and more intelligent. Its not make belief look at the improvements weve all made to the world?
I was born in 82. Yes I share the same experience. Had Atari and a Nintendo, TV only had 4 channels and by rabbit ears and tinfoil to get a clearer picture. No internet, cordless phones were getting popular, no cell phones, no pagers or keepers. No online gaming, netflix or YouTube. Mixtapes and walkmans. If you wanted to hear the best sound, you had to carry around a huge cd wallet and one song you like. No such thing yet as CD's burners or mp3 players. So you can have them in one mix. I dont fit in with the millennial type i really don't.
@Darknut Definitely good times. Wonder how these teens would handle going back to those days. I had a master system I bought one of the new mega drives. My kids couldn't get their heads around there being no online features
I know and theyre like why is there a wire attached why isn't wireless? I'm like there was no such thing. TV and stereo remotes were about the only thing there was. We had a VCR though rented movies and games on Friday night's. Yeah we lived in a small town.
I'll up you one with a black and white tv when everyone else had color tvs. I didn't know the Wizard of Oz was in color until I was 20 something and it was my favorite movie as a child. My parents refused to give me my own land line phone or cable but they paid for my degrees twice.
This is not a well thought out opinion but rather this is admittedly based on logical fallacy. (I "get" that you do not even understand what just wrote)
@cirno Exhibit A, too lazy to even look at my age before making a dumb comment.
If uh you talk like one you kinda are one regardless of age i always feel like its a bit dumb when adults do this say that some group that is younger is lazy or worse or something only adults do this
@cirno It's not dumb if it's true.Generally speaking Millennials want everything handed to them, that is the epitome of laziness.
Update: If you're just now getting started with adulthood as a millennial, you basically failed. Gen Z is the generation who's just now starting to become adults, with the oldest of us maybe being, at most, 23-24 years old.
Good point i see this
@cirno 25 year olds are boomers? ever heard of a dictionary?
Actually uh i would need one since English is not my first language ><
@cirno Here you goduckduckgo.com/
But uh anyway besides that you were kinda talking like a boomer
I think the Republicans are fucked when their supporters finally die.
Yea no duh
Lol sure sure you knew it totally.
I think the question is less about what the law says is adult age and more about a maturity.
He's referring to millennials as immature people which he thought were young adolescent people. Now he's trying to cover it up. Because he didn't know the correct definition of a millennial. He's one of them as well.
No im stupid
Obviously,,, people are disagreeing
Maybe those old fashioned values are what got us into our current predicament. When people keep comparing how things were 'back then' and now without acknowledging other changes, its unfair. Someone could work a summer job and pay their entire years college tuition and board back in the 60's. Try having a mortgage payment that was only 20-25% of your minimum wage job. Live on a single income and have mom there every afternoon when you come home from school? Yes, some people still do this, but they are the outliers in the model. CEO's making over 200x their workers pay is just outright greed.
@ImSparkly That's all thanks to the Federal Reserve Bank (which isn't even American). President John F Kennedy tried to do something about that
Fuck the boomers
@Meatunnel69 Sure, but they're still better.
They are entitled post ww2 prosperity hippies who gave us a shit fuck of national debt and very little infrastructure improvements, if i were to pick a fav generation it would be the “greatest gen” ww2 fighters
@Meatunnel69 I agree, but I would also argue that the boomers took to adulthood in a more accepting fashion than us millennials. We still haven't done much to establish ourselves, but perhaps that's why it isn't an easy comparison.
Why do you think worse?
Yes that means you are old
