Driving is the last little bit of independence an older driver has. Do you have a mother? Or a father? Or were you hatched? If an older person is not dangerous to herself or others, she has as much right to be on the road as anyone else, I’d say more right than you do. States have different ways of keeping older drivers safe. It can be a myriad of different policies, but they are always fair, and with the public safety first and foremost. So get some integrity and realize your shit DOES stink- sometimes. Patience is a virtue.
Ngl- if I wanted, I could shred every single argument you make, in a court of law, but I’m being nice and understanding, because I, too, was once an asshole. You’ll prob grow out of it.. lol
can't complain tho I'm a crazy driver. I speed, tailgate and never use my blinker 😆😆
Girl, I'm the same. My dad told me that yesterday. I swear to God that I do use my blinkers but my dad said otherwise.
Yea I hate that kind of drivers

I'm the one who speed's up when signal is about to turn red and in between yellow.. that fraction of seconds feels like, I'm one of the driver's from fast and furious 😁😁 And if there's speed limit and it's 60 then I'll make sure I'm in between 70-80 😜😂😂
LEDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I hate those SO much when driving at night!
Maybe your jealous bc they have a fast expensive car and you don’t, they drive slow just to piss you off, ever think of that? Maybe they’re much better drivers than you just bc they’ve been driving for 30 years more than you’ve been driving? Ever think of that?
Oh please. Most of them are one late car payment away from getting repossessed.
@myd_nudie- you’re the one who’s days are numbered. I just hope you don’t take others with you when you make that one last mis judgement that wraps you and your hunk of junk around a telephone pole, it’s not cool to drive or brag about driving like that, if any of it is even true... it just makes you seem like a little kid who just got on the road with his daddy’s car, trying to look “cool”... I’ve seen many just like you, and I always laugh my ass off... 😅😂🤣
@MzAsh- just because that’s how you handle your finances doesn’t mean anyone else does that. What a condescending remark. Older people have expensive cars because they CAN, and you hope that someday you will tooo. Just admit it.
“oh please”... wtf? 😅😂🤣
My debt is zero, compared to most Americans. Middle age post divorce men buy fast cars to impress gullible women.
And what do you drive? or do you?
And what’s with the generalizations? I’m not that “middle aged postdivorse man” any more than you are that “gullible woman”... so why even mention it? If your debt is zero, then good for you, keep it that way if you can, so that if or when you make it to middle age, you can be that shining example to younger people that will no doubt look up to you... while they mock you and make fun of you for nothing other than your age, you’ll see what it’s like... 😅😂and look back on this and cringe- rightly so.
I’m sure people already mock me. And I don’t care. I hate driving. And I don’t like most people I encounter on a daily basis in public so that will explain my generations.
Ok well I guess if you’re ok with being an asshole, what do I care? #assholedriver
Better to be an asshole than a dumbass. Thanks!
@Girther10 I don't drive like that when someone is with me... I take that step with calculated measures.. and yeah I know the cost of living just to save a kid on the road I jumped from the bike and broken my leg and also save the kid so you tell me what's my opinion on life? And by the way I know it's not cool and I don't drive always like that... I take that step when I'm in extreme urgency otherwise I drive by the rules.. And one more thing I take chances in the car when I'm in urgency and I take chances on the bike for fun!!! 😜😋😋
What would ever be an urgency like that that you would have? Are you going to a fire when you do that
Well I’m glad you clarified that now I know what you meant it was more like bragging or something like that
II didn’t mean to seem like I was giving you a hard time about that I didn’t mean to
@MzAsh. Boy I don’t know that would be a close call lol
When I'm late for office or college and when sometimes I booked an appointment with Dr. Etc etc etc, etc like that, urgenciesThat's it, But when I'm on the bike I just drive crazy for fun. I think you understand fun on bikes is awesome!
@WhiteZsteve- just a word about your road rage comment- flipping you off- really? The universal “hi” sign🖕🏼will cause you to make your new number one priority to follow the person to the end of the earth if necessary, to teach them a life lesson that there are crazy people , you, out there who “will make you pay a price for it”.. really? What exactly will be that price? Are you going to assault them physically? No matter who it is? Like pull them out of the car and try to fight, or beat up the person? Sorry, but that attitude right there , in my opinion, makes all of your other gripes, which I agree with, null and void. The notion that a derisive hand gesture might result in being hospitalized by a lunatic , is beyond any logic I can think of. You need serious attitude adjustment. I hope I never come near you on the road. #assholedriver
By the way, as an uber driver I will be on my phone, I willl pay lots of attention to it, safely, because it’s my job. Following the uber driver app is happening by many professional drivers out there, whether you like it or not. Also, as for assault on some one who 🖕🏼to you, if you iare coming after me, I will use my last line of defense, my.38 revolver, and stop you in your tracks. Period. So much for your “road rage” policy.🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I’ve been driving over 40 years, last year I drove 60,000 miles. I have never , in 40 years, gotten a moving violation OR so much as a fender bender. So spare me the “I’m the only experienced driver here” routine. Your not.
@Girther10 Well, I mean... I have my principles, and the one principle I won’t budge on is blatant disrespect, particularly from strangers. To me, that’s worth killing or dying over. And the most maddening form of disrespect is the kind that comes from other drivers, because they’re allowed to just zip off without paying a price for it, I just can’t have that. Like I said, if we were on foot, I feel like at least 90% of those people wouldn’t initiate a confrontation in person while putting their physical well being behind it as collateral. That’s just something I don’t respect. Don’t run your mouth or make gestures or comment on anything about what I’m doing unless you’re ready to throw hands. I’m not saying I’m going to swing every time or even any time, I’m just saying that I believe in that social contract of you’re free to say what you want, I’m free to respond how I want, and vice versa, so think twice, thrice, even ten times before you decide to send that paperwork across my desk. As for guns, I often joke about that, that that’s how I’ll go out, to someone who thinks it’s reasonable to answer an honorable challenge to a fistfight with a firearm. I acknowledge that and accept it as a reality. But I know that if I die because someone was afraid to fight and produced a weapon to up the ante, I will have died righteously. I suppose women and the elderly are excused from an ass kicking, but I reserve the right to scare the daylights out of anyone at my sole discretion. Again, this doesn’t happen too often, but it’s important to me to send that message, because I don’t think most people have the guts to, and it’s much needed. Everyone’s probably reading this like “whoa, what a psycho”, but I’m not, I just have principles and I don’t buy into a lot of “polite society’s” codes and standards. I don’t fall that far outside of them, normally, but this is one area that I do, and I believe it...
@Girther10 ... right and correct, and I won’t be told otherwise by any mere human no better or worse than I. It makes sense to me, therefore, it’s right, as far as I’m concerned. Why is the problem my attitude, and not with the attitude of the person getting aggressive and disrespectful with me simply for driving correctly? I don’t like this whole premise that once one party gets violent or threatening, we cease all examination of what the other person did to cause that scenario, and suddenly they’re innocent victims.
Ok well I stand corrected. 😎 That is an excellent explanation, and I salute you’re ability to be so articulate. I respect that you have principles, I just find it interesting that you say you are prepared to put your life on the line for such a seemingly minor breech of your social contract. I also wonder what your family would think if you died as a result of something like that. I agree with most everything you said about the general stupidity of most drivers. It’s very frustrating to have to put up with stupidity on any level. Most people do not stand on their principles the way you have just described. I think we need more people like you in our society. Kudos to you! 👊🏼
@Girther10 I appreciate the kind words, and in turn, I commend your ability to entertain an admittedly unconventional philosophy. You’re probably right, there are more worthwhile hills to die on, but this the one that fires me up, haha. My girlfriend hates it and worries about me, so I try to keep it cool for her sake, lmao.
Yeah that time I wanna smash there vehicles 😜😂😂
Prob just to piss you off, it’s fun to see idiots like you with only a few years of experience get pissed off for such minor reasons, it’s like - get a life mr rickyracer...
@Girther10 The fuck are you talking about? I'm inexperienced and a racer because I wanna do 40 . . . IN THE 40!!!You're probably the senseless dick who uses one blinker to cut across the whole highway in one motion and then does half the speed of the flow of traffic.
I’ve been driving twice as long as you’ve been alive. I’ve forgotten more about how to drive than you will likely ever know in your whole lifetime. Go back to your mini bike... lol
@Girther10 Somehow, I feel like I learned more about cars before I got my full license than everything you've ever learned or forgotten. I buy sell and fix cars practically for a living bro, I drive some pretty big trucks. If I got surgery in my leg and they filled it up with nerve block so I couldn't even feel it, I could still drive in reverse better than you could forward on your best day.
You can feel any way you want. But keep in mind you have no idea who you’re talking to. I am a retired forest service firefighter in so, Cali. Before I was chosen to be on the elite helicopter crew, I drove 14 ton fire trucks code three through winding mountain roads, as you may know, that kind of emergency driving tends to make the other drivers on the road go whacky and totally unpredictable, one of just many possible hazards you encounter. So I have many times had to drive in reverse using all five speeds, so I’m not your typical idiot driver. So I was actually driving for a living, not just wanting to. Therefore your rubric for judging my response needs o be adjusted, to say the least. I won’t go into the many other driving experiences or acquired skills I have, , I think I’ve made my point. Your reply about the “one blinker to drive across lanes of traffic” sounded juvenile, so don’t blame me if I was assuming the things I assumed.
And my statement of how long I’ve been driving stands. Twice as long as you’ve been living on this planet. That never changes, and it’s relevant, in my opinion. Sorry to burst your preconceived ideas of what’s real. It is what it is...
@Girther10 I shoulda known you were one of those guys who thinks being a firefighter is like being in the fucking special forces.Get a life dude
Many of the guys I worked with were veterans of special forces, they said what we did was very much similiar to what the special forces does, so thanks for bringing that up- I’d forgotten about that. How many lives did you directly save repairing and selling autos and driving trucks? Maybe you should try to get a life dude. 😎
@Girther10 Similar? To who? The radio operator? As much as I'd love to have a competition with you to see who's dick is bigger, I think I'm gonna consider this one a win and move on. Besides, there's no way I save any more lives making sure brakes actually work when you press them than you do checking someone's fire alarm.
I was talking with one of the CDL drivers at my job, totally changed how I go about driving around trucks. I’m trying to help you guys out now, never realized how nerve-wracking it can be. Now I’m all about either staying well behind them or just passing, not riding their side, I flash them to give the ok to take lanes/merge into traffic, I even slow up to give them an out when they’re in the right lane on the highway and we’re approaching an on-ramp. The usually flash their brake lights at me as a “thank you”, I get satisfaction out that, haha, just them being like “ok, this guy gets it.” I was always taught that truckers were bullies on the road, but all the driving I do for my job, I still rarely see that. It’s more like people are so scared to be near the trucks that they do dumb shit that makes the whole situation worse, haha
That’s called “fucking with the youngsters”, and it’s fun as fuck... 😅😂🤣
The general rule of thumb is to drive at the speed that is the flow of traffic, whatever that is. Not slower, not faster, but with the FLOW oof traffic. That is the implied speed limit.
If you are in a school zone, driving 10 miles over the posted limit can get you a $200 fine in most cities, so you’re actually wrong, again.
Too slow. The flow of traffic where I am is as I’ve described.
Anyone with an out of state license plate is a foreigner lol
I know that lol. I meant what does the foreigners do.
Drive like they have no idea where they're going. Stopping in the middle of the road to check google, driving really really slowly past every turn because they dont know which one they're looking for.
That's so true
