Anybody with a grasp of simple maths was worried about it, and about Trump's reaction to it from day 1. There's literally a textbook way for governments to deal with a potential pandemic, and he did the opposite, in practically every way.As to it being "one of the least dangerous things out their [sic]", it killed over 1000 Americans yesterday. Unless the rate of growth slows significantly (and there's not much sign of that, mostly because of decades of Republican science denial), it will kill 2000 on Sunday or Monday, and (probably well) over 4000 (like 9/11) a day by Easter.
@goaded God your stupid. First, no they where not worried about his response to it. His first act was to cut travel to china, the left then proclaimed that he was racist (because don't they always) and that this was a xenophobic move and the coronavirus wasn't a big deal. They then claimed that he wasn't doing anything to stop it despite the fact that the ones who actually where holding us back was the CDC as they were the ones who could authorize testing and they refused to give up that power to private companies (once they did we started doing a lot more screening). They claimed that he was wrong about chloroquine that he didn't know what he was talking about and even proclaimed that some one died taking it (the person in question took fish tank cleaner that has a similar sounding name but is entirely different which they tried to ignore), then it turned out it does work and its been FDA approved. They mocked him relentlessly when he pointed out how because of the shortage in masks (in large part due to people like you who panic and freak out and over buy thus causing a false scarcity screwing over every one else in the process, like the people who are actually at risk) they would have to use ones that can be sterilized. Then it turned out that hospitals where doing this (the only reason why they don't is because its cheaper to get disposable ones (I've worked in healthcare, I'm quite familiar with their cheapness)).So no, they have been doing quite a good job, your just fucking stupid and only watch bigoted leftist news sources that only insult and belittle those who you disagree with instead of actually reporting news.
@goaded As for the "math", again, your a fucking idiot and your to stupid to realize it sadly. Its half way through its cycle and the peak season for the flu is in January and feburary which have passed, currently its death toll is 48,000 WORLD WIDE. At this point in time the regular flu kills about 250,000. So yeah, its less lethal then the regular flu. Take into account that Italy, due to having a socialized medical system, left any one over the ages of 60 and up to die (according to them), that number was artificially higher then necessary. Combine that with the fact that nearly half of them had 3+ diseases and/or where over the age of 70, yeah, its not that bad. You know, based upon the math which you didn't do because your a fucking idiot who can't think for himself or do even the most basic of research before spouting off your ideological talking points. How some one so stupid can survive so long is a wonder to me.
"God your stupid." Says it all, really.I've looked, and all I can find is Trump saying he was called racist in order to dodge a question about the rollout of testing. By that point, it had been Democratic hoax that he wasn't dealing with it properly, 15 cases would soon be near zero, it would go away by itself in April, and he knew it was going to be a pandemic before anyone else.In other words, you'd have to show me some evidence, because, well, Trump lies a lot.I'll grant you, denying entry to people from China was a good call, but that's tempered by the time he spent weeks saying it was nothing. He didn't create a task force (actually re-create, because there used to be one until 2018, and also a doctor embedded with the Chinese authorities until July 2019) until the 27th January, despite the WHO being informed of a problem on the 31st December. On 5th February, it was reported that the WH weren't asking for additional funds; why not?The CDC did screw up on producing tests. Not Trump's fault (but not Obama's, either). Why couldn't Trump have just admitted not being perfect? He was absolutely wrong to tout chloroquine as a cure, because it hasn't been approved as a treatment for COVID-19 (it's an anti-malarial drug), and people have been hospitalised for using it. Yes, the people who used the tank cleaner got it wrong, but they wouldn't have thought of it had it not been touted by POTUS, would they? You have no idea about my state of mind or behaviour.I didn't see anyone mocking Trump about sterilisable masks. Show me.Gosh, in the time it's taken me to respond to you, the number of deaths has risen 3,000, to 51,299, worldwide. The number of new cases in the US might be slowing down, but that's because people are doing something about it, not just the weather or positive thinking. The increase in deaths will follow the rate increase of new cases from a couple of weeks ago, so 2,000 a day in a couple of weeks, probably 4,000 a day shortly after that.
Quick update: "On 28 March 2020, the FDA issued an emergency use authorization for hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine at the discretion of physicians treating people with COVID-19.", however (1) Trump claimed it had been approved on the 19th, and (2) double the recommended dose can be lethal.
@goaded No you haven't looked and you know it. As for the hoax, yeah, it was (I just listed like five different incidents that they pulled and that was just off the top of my head). I don't know why you bother lying through your teeth, its not fooling me obviously so is it to fool you? Either way their is no point in speaking to you.
So, now you're calling me a liar, rather than just showing proof I'm wrong?Obviously I had been researching, otherwise I wouldn't have found the FDA approval information.Only 968 deaths in the US yesterday, from one of the least dangerous things out there.
