Then what I said stands. Most aren't particularly well-off. Or rather, most aren't from that background. The truth is you're more likely to want a way for common men to rise if you've had to do it yourself. People who work also usually prefer others do the same.
What about in the UK?
In the UK I would say that a well-off person is more likely to be financially conservative. Anybody well-versed in the history of Europe is more likely to be a right-winger if they side with what is now the UK.
