How about the shooting in this church?Mass shootings don't become mass shootings when a gun is used in self defense www.nytimes.com/.../...-worth-church-shooting.html
"there hasn't been a single mass shooting in the world that was stopped by someone using a concealed weapon"Except for the loads of instances were that has happened."because the mass shooter always has semi-automatic and automatic weapons, which they purchased LEGALLY."Most use weapons purchased illegally."There is literally no moral reason for a citizen to own a semi-automatic or automatic weapon... in ANY nation."Self defense is way more that enough reason. There is no nation where that is not valid justification."there has never been a crime stopped by a private citizen wielding an automatic or semi-automatic weapon."Again, except for the fucktons of time where that has actually happened. Many caught on camera. If you see it and simply deny it then there's no reasoning with you.You sir, have a completely backwards and degenerate opinion.
Nothing new to add, just repeating yourself? My comment already disproved your claim
Oh wait lol sorry @AllThaySweetJazz didn't notice you just replied him. I thought he replied himself. Lol
They banned all guns in England but the gun crimes have risen sky high they are now trying to ban hunting knives the weapon of choice. So now some putz goes some place with twenty steak knives kills twenty people do we ban steak knives. Automatic weapons should not be banned how about we enforce all the laws on the books now what good is a law if not enforced like all the rest of the law already on the books
Glad to know someone on the other side feels the same about the 2nd Amendment as I do!👍🏻👊🏻
I often share this list of national gun rights organizations when people stereotype all people on the left as pro-gun controlLiberal Rifle Association, Gun Loving Liberal, Liberals for Gun Rights, Democrats for Gun Ownership, Blue Steel Democrat, Pink Pistols, Armed Equality (LGBTQ), Women Against Gun Control, Mother's Arms, 1 Million Moms Against Gun Control, Liberty Belles, Babes with Bullets, Women's Firearm Network, A Girl & A Gun, Second Amendment Sisters, the National African-American Gun Association, Black Guns Matter, Brown Girls With Guns, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JPFO), Jews Can Shoot, Law Enforcement Alliance of America, Law Students for the Second Amendment, Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Gun Owners of America, National Association for Gun Rights, Second Amendment Foundation, American Firearms Institute, Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, Every 2nd Matters, Firearms Policy Coalition, Rifles and Reason, the National Rifle Association, the International Association for the Protection of Civil Arms Rights, and Firearms United.

That's because the governments control those countries and the people and they want to keep it that way, but here the government works for the people, not the other way around.
Okay. Keep handing your money over to the manufacturers for “freedom”.
Recieving something to maintain our freedom and keeping fellow Americans at work. I'll take that anyday over give us that money so we can rule over you.
Tell us again how you know Canada's gun laws are working.
@AllThatSweetJazz I don't have a need to repeat myself. But, you can read the original comment again if you feel it would be helpful for you.
If they are working then why press for more stringent laws? Its because "You can't let a good travesty go to waist". This is the time politicians use your emotions to push their secret agenda of taking power away from the people in the name of safety. Witch is an empty promise because the government can't be everywhere to protect every single person. The true goal is to have full power over the people so they no longer have to serve you. When these new laws get implemented and there is another mass shooting they will call for mor law taking something else away until guns are completely gone from the law abiding then the will progress to other rights in the name of safety.
My point was that you didn't even explain it in the first place. There's nothing repeat if you didn't make your case.
"To push their secret agenda of taking power away from the people..." If it's so secret, how do you know about it? They must be pretty bad at keeping a secret. The utter paranoia people like you have and spread on a daily basis about what the government is secretly trying to do is both stunning and sad. I'm sure you'll call me a sheeple and tell me to wake up cause that's just what you folks do when people won't buy into your conspiracy theories and laugh at your sketchy youtube videos that supposedly "expose the truth" but most normal people don't spend their lives in a panic crippled by these thoughts.
@AllThatSweetJazz I understood your point. With most people on this website, no matter how much evidence you provide them, they believe what they believe and will never be convinced otherwise. So you can believe I made my case or not. I'm fine with either but I have zero interest in spending any further time trying to convince you.
“With most people on this website, no matter how much evidence you provide them, they believe what they believe and will never be convinced otherwise.”Absolutely true, and it often leads to equally stubborn people who feel they never need to justify their perspective and just declare themselves right.“So, you can believe I made my case or not.”What case? You said nothing. “I’m right, you’re wrong” is not a real case being made. See how you’re using this “I’m right and I don’t need to explain it to you” nonsense to dodge just like the other stubborn tribalists? If you want to be every bit a toxic as the people you refer to then that’s fine, feel free to run along, but let’s not be under any illusion that it’s a cop out. Acknowledging that, we’re all good here, bye.
Well it's not secret, they just don't say it
But think about it if the laws are working then why add more? More laws that always remove power from the people?
@berserk945 An hour ago you specifically said it was a secret agenda and now you're saying it's not? Were you misstating the facts then or are you doing it now?
I say secret because they want it to be a secret how ever it's not hard to see what they are actually planning. They do it slowly so they're is less push back and only attempt to take more after something happens.
@berserk945 Canadian gun laws appear to have been working in general but they didn't in this case, so I'm fine with an additional law that addresses whatever loophole allowed what happened in this case to happen and prevents it from happening again. So I think we both agree that the current laws while generally effective were not effective enough and still require modification and additional provisions to address what happened here. Appreciate your support.
And you fine with more when something happens again?
@berserk945 So now you're back to saying it IS secret but you're so much smarter than them, you can see right through it and know exactly what they're thinking and planning. Or maybe you really are berserk.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out what the end goal is.
@berserk945 And thank goodness for that cause God knows, you're no genius.
Now there is no call for insults. I haven't insulted you.
@berserk945 Sorry. It was too hard to resist l.
Obviously this discussion is over because you resorted to insulting first.
@berserk945 No, actually the discussion is over cause there is little point of going back and forth a dozen more times with a conspiracy theory nutjob who sees secret government plots to rob people of their freedoms by government officials who are just trying to save lives.
True I'd we can't find common ground then we won't make any progress. I will say one last thingIf gun laws save lives then why do gun free zones are responsible for 90% of all mass shootings in the US
And now they are on to knives because of a rash of mass stabbings
I remember quite a few that only had 4
Also this shooting involved 17 so that a new high for Canada.
Don't be a jerk about it. But yes his mission might had ended a lot sooner if they did
And a fraction of the population and a fraction of gun per person. Canada: 37.59 million USA: 328.2 million Canada guns per capita: 34.7Us guns per capita: 120.5Canada Gun homicide per 100,000: 0.75US Gun homicide per 100,000: 4.46The USA has on average 500,000 - 1,000,000 instances a year were a firearms is used in self defense. In Canada owning a firearm for self defense is not a valid reason for owning a firearm.
Those stats are meaningless in comparison. Per 100,000 people, Canada has 2 gun deaths and the US has 12. en.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate
You can't do the total gun death because your also factoring in suicides. Now ill give it to you biased of wikipedia (which is where I got mine) you do have far less gun related homicides than US. This because of how drastically fewer the guns are also, we have problems of illegal weapons being brought in from Mexico, where Canada wouldn't have that problem because its buffered by the US. And I'm sure the laws how they are do help. However the people can't lawfully use firearms to defend themselves.
I didn't need the NRA to tell me that, Its common sense. After the shooting at Sandy Hook started my journey learning everything I could about firearms from absolutely nothing. Today I am a member of the NRA, however I am not pleased at all with how they been handling stuff. I don't believe much from them until they turn things around.
guns aren't protecting you from economic stagnation, pollution, rising income inequality, and overall anything the powerful decide to do to you. they might help you against the big bad mexican immigrant trying to do something very very nasty but in reality he just won't ever lay a finger on you
That's not the reason we have them, they are so the people have a physical means to keep the government in check if freedom of speech and the system fails because of the corruption that happens to every government at some point.
so are you going to kill some politicians? can i do that too as i think anti BDS laws are a violation of freedom of speech?
@iOoko Sorry but what are BDS laws? The point isn't to kill. The point is to show that if you push to much and stop listening to the people and keep violating and taking away rights that things may get to the point where we (We the People) will do what is necessary to remove the corruption from office. Its up to them if it becomes violent.
anti bds laws oppose bds movements. BDS stands for boycott divest and sanction directed toward israel or israeli settlements as an act of protest against its acts toward the palestinians (bombings with 90% civilian casualty rate, besieging the gaza strip...). whether you agree with the movement is beside the point. people should have the right to peaceful activism and it's been taken away. what am i supposed to do with guns?
I don't know enough to have a view on those laws. However you never just resort to the use of firearms when it comes to the government without trying everything possible without them.
Us possessing firearms of our chosing does not violate anyone's rights or safety. Unlike the other actions you just commented
