In most situations that we encounter, there are pluses and minuses to every possible response. While some of you have simply parroted the emphatic insistence on stay-at-home guidelines, other have appreciated that there is a very real cost in keeping people away from work.

The chief of the UN's World Food Program is David Beasley. "While dealing with a COVID-19 pandemic, we are also on the brink of a hunger pandemic," Beasley told the council. "There is also a real danger that more people could potentially die from the economic impact of COVID-19 than from the virus itself."
