How is "Princess Mary" related to Queen Elizabeth II?
because Princess Mary was born in Hobart which is a part of Australia
That doesn't mean anything to me.Probably hundreds of Marys are born in Hobart every year. You didn't answer my question...How is this "Princess Mary" related to Queen Elizabeth II?
I do not think she is.Princess Mary is the Princess of Denmark but she was born in Australia.
Oh, I see. She's Danish royalty that happens to be an Australian by virtue of birthright citizenship. From Australia's perspective though, she is not Australian royalty. She'll eventually become Queen of Denmark, but that's through marriage. She was not born royal in any nation's royalty.en.wikipedia.org/.../Mary,_Crown_Princess_of_Denmark
I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe that Mary had to give up her Australian citizenship to become a Danish citizen. Denmark does not allow dual citizenship and, to emigrate to there, you must intend on becoming a Danish citizen. So, in a sense, Australia doesn't have a princess anymore. All you can say is that a princess was born in Australia.
That may have changed for Mary. I don't know.Denmark now allows dual citizenship.internationalcommunity.dk/.../Step-by-step-Guide-Dual-Citizenship
