I live on the East Coast you do need to hide it here if you don’t want to lose your friends
I live on the East Coast...
I live in the biggest city on the east coast also maybe it’s a New York City thing?
I’ve noticed the south is similar to nyc in that way
Are you... dude, do you actually talk with anybody in New York? Atheism is all over that city. You hesitance might come from ideological stems though. Forget any one religion for a moment. The simple fact is that you can logically deduce that a creator exists through scientific reasoning, but you can't logically deduce Atheism (I'm something of an Agnostic Humanist, myself). There is no logical deduction for Atheism... I could see that preventing someone from wanting to speak up about it.
I just don’t believe in it, it’s never been proven to me. Preachers come up to you on the street and I just ignore them.
Which is fine, and I'm not trying to force anything on you. I'm just saying that I don't think moving to another country is going to resolve the issue of your comfort in expressing Atheism.
I don’t want to move out of the country I’m sure they are more atheist places in the US that would be dumb to move for that reason. I could move to California or something if I wanted easier.
California is definitely a melting pot of ideas. I don't know that I would characterize CA, OR, or WA as more Atheist, but they don't push ideas on each other the way we do on the East Coast. I'm telling you man, the best defense is to flesh out your thoughts and understand your arguments for why you believe what you do.

I come from the biggest city in North America
A lot of friends get offended
So? Doesn't mean you have to hide it. If they don't like it then it's their problem not yours.
The vast majority of people I’ve met born here are very religious
Same here. It never stopped me. I told my mom I wasn't going to church anymore at 15 because I didn't believe. She wasn't happy but it is what it is. Whether people like it or not ain't my problem.
You sound like my relatives and most people I know
I don’t think it’s UK lol
I’ve lived in the UK all my life
I feel like the UK is accepting of other cultures and religions especially in London maybe I’m wrong?
Yeah it is
Lot's of people are open Atheists, so I'm assuming you live in the state of Utah.
No New York
I heard the same thing
I think only Latin America, and the Middle East is more religious
The only countries which have atheist majority are North Korea and China. There is no other
I thought Most people in japan and Sweden are atheists
You are wrong they aren’t atheist countries. China and North Korea support state atheism, you can look at this page on Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_atheism
But most people their don’t believe in god I’ve heard
I’m sure the government says its a religious country I don't know
Are you an atheist? Why are you obsessed with that?
Yes because it’s a big deal that I am
It’s just propaganda of atheists, most Swedish people believe in God although they aren’t so religious
New York City
Pretty conservative City I’ve never listen anywhere else
I went to high school in a pretty conservative area, sure got a lot of shit there for dating another girl.
Yeah they hate gays here also
Huh, with the gun laws there I thought New York was pretty damn liberal.
We do have gay bars and gay peep shows I don't know though
I don’t know anything about guns tbh
Family and friends
They pray and preach about god and shit to me I have to pretend to listen
Dude, I'm pretty sure your family would do that regardless of what country you lived in
Actually in some countries they'd throw you in jail or kill you
And friends, preachers come up in the street to me, I probably live in religious area I don't know
Those are third world shitholes
Exactly, my point is, the US is probably one of the most accepting country of atheists. Christians and Muslims are annoying no matter where you are
I get the feeling Canada, Australia, NZ, and most of Europe is more accepting of atheism.
Nah as someone who has family in the UK and Canada, that's definitely not true
Maybe it’s different in other parts of the US in NYC or the south it’s not socially acceptable to be an atheist
New York is one of the most liberal cities in the country wym? It's almost not acceptable to be Christian there
