Which is the scientific view yes. But I meant more philosophically. Maybe a better question is do you believe anything not man made or man made descriptions of observations can be fact?
Our description of the universe is compatible to the limits of our understanding. I think most know that we could never really understand the true nature of the universe. At least not as we exist now. We simply create these descriptions that can make accurate predictions. No one has ever viewed an elementary particle. We will never see the wave function of a photon. When it comes to the infinitely tiny world of quantum mechanics, which is what everything is made up of, all we have is our best guesses. When looking at the world that way, it becomes hard to talk about what is factual. It would seem the only real facts or truth would be things that are immaterial. So I would say, things that are not man made can be fact or truth. But when we talk about the material world, we don't know enough to really say how it works. We can only make predictions that are accurate for the small part of reality, we experience.
It still doesn't mean that all saturated fat is good, though, does it? Getting closer to understanding reality all the time is a good thing.
