i don't agree with the double standard statement. men experience higher rates of violence of almost any sort but even mentioning it gets you called a misogynist while women's issues always get the spotlight
The double standard is that no one would tell a guy not to dress a certain way because it will attract predators.
i have literally been told to dress more elegantly not to get physically bullied
Who physically bullied you?
just because it was men it doesn't make it right somehow, if that's where you're getting at
Partially, but also for girls its sexual in nature, it's different. I'm not disparaging against men's issues, but it's different.
Getting bullied because you dress like a loser is different from hide your body because I'll molest you if you don't...
if i were a girl being dragged around and beaten you wouldn't be saying that. that's a double standard.
Except I would be saying that...
ok i get it. still we should be allowed to tackle both things and this has the effect of making it more difficult. if people did this for male related issues it wouldn't be viewed favorably
It shouldn't be viewed favourably for female related issues either. But somehow older generations and ignorant people in general like to think that if a woman gets raped, it was because she wore revealing clothes and dared to go outside to have fun. This mentality has to stop altogether, no matter who is targeted, be it man, woman or a toothbrush.
haha toothbrush omg that's HILARIOUS
can't be rap it doesn't rhyme. not too crap it's not a crime
