Plus they are traitors to this country. They have no respect for the United States
In the sprit of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It was never a lose but a vary slow victory where we find a wwe superstar as president today.
Put them in museums, they do not belong in parks or plazas or in front of federal buildings. They were traitors to this country
Dude!! YOU TOTALLY MISSED THE POINT!! WE NEED to see them, to remember the past, and those BAD THINGS, so we are constantly AWARE, and THINKING!!! Our elected Senators, Representatives and the PRESIDENT, need to CONSTANTLY SEE THESE, to REMIND them of what NOT TO DO!! Locked away in a museum, is like forgetting the past, CENSORSHIP!!! and just accepting it, and then thinking things like the George Floyd Murder was just like a Lynching in Mississippi, in 1885!! Nobody white cared, then, and it was common, BUT HORRIFIC!!People NEED TO SEE THESE, and know the past, even HATING THOSE, and THAT PAST, but it is HISTORY!! We need to know that HISTORY, and REMEMBER, and LEARN FROM THAT!! We are doomed to repeat the past, if we forget it, and don't learn from it!! How better to learn, and REMEMBER, than the monuments to those that did things, bad things, but some also did some good!

I'm just going to stop right there. I'm going to agree to disagree.Because I had family fight on both sides during the civil war and I don't want to restart the civil war. Let the rioters start it. Not me
Maybe we should put up statues of Hitler to. He was part of USA past. He supported removing momeuments and erasing the past
@humanearth But the younger ones can't see it, because the past was censored from what meager knowledge they gleaned from the 1950's style education, taught by Dinosaurs with tenure! If it isn't on Twitter, YouTube or Facebook, it isn't 'REAL' to them! They are the 'future' and we are. . .
@JackSmy hahahaha your so right
Just put in museums and tell people who evil the confederate was and how they are traitors to the United States and how they attacked this country
Just put them in museums. Why we want monuments of traitors in front of federal buildings, in parks, in front of schools, etc
It's part of our history that can't be denied. I say let southerners decide
Yeah a lot of them hate this country, they love traitors
Most of them are very patriotic
Just put them in museums. If any conservatives who claim to love this country but fly a confederacy flag, they hate the United States
@NorthwestRider I disagree, and this mistake has been made, over and over!! They did it with the South, and not UNDERSTANDING the PRIDE of the South, and not even mentioning slavery!! The Southern states, were Proud People, and a CULTURE! Slavery was a part of that! To some, a HUGE ISSUE, but not the point of the Civil War!The North misunderstood, or chose not to care about the Culture of the SOUTH, and that furthered the secessionist movement. The Proud SOUTH decided not to be dictated to, by the North, and their ways. Neither understood the culture of the other, and because of that, they could not find a peaceful resolution.Again, after the First World War, they didn't understand the PRIDE of the German people, and how the Treaty of Versailles was written, made the second World War, and the rise of Hitler, to power, on a platform of hate, and blame, happen! These are offensive, maybe, to many, but they need to be seen, to REMIND US, of the hate, and bad choices of the past! Being sequestered in museums is not enough, as they will be ignored, and the same mistakes, repeated, as some are, right now, with the Trump Administration!!
Why would I support monuments for traitors who started a war against the United States?
Why would you let it bother you?
Because I hate traitors
Just put them in museums. Plus we do not need any monuments for traitors to be place in public parks or plazas
No need to put them in museums. The inscription on the monument should factually tell about that person
