Folks across the country, why don't you have black friends?

Anonymous
I grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood and didn't get to meet people of different backgrounds until I moved to the bigger city for school. Now I have several black friends in my apartment building and school. I think I didn't have any because I literally couldn't. But I feel like those from a state with a relatively high percentage of black people (like the South) still don't have any black friends. Some of my friends are from Lousiana and all the school-related pics they showed me had zero black people.
Please keep in mind, I'm not saying we all should have a friend with a certain skin color, which would be racist af. What I'm saying is that I find it a bit odd to only have friends with a certain color while you're surrounded by a diverse group of people.
