@lost_spark I too gave birth at the end of January, so both our parents have had very little opportunity in seeing the little guy.It wasn't until last week when the British government relaxed things that they were able to come over and spend time in our garden to see him again.
We have said to our parents that it is up to them, we are happy for them to come over but still distance for the most part.Even have separate bathrooms etc. Am based in the UK too.
@lost_spark Gosh! Hello fellow Brit. lolIt was very much my husband's parents who asked (more suggested to be honest) if they could visit, which we naturally readily agreed. So they came (last Tuesday week) in the morning and my parents came in the afternoon,Like you, we very fortunately have three bathrooms plus the downstairs toilet/cloakroom, so that was never going to be an issue. What a contrast though with the weather today to last week!
Indeed. I had planned to have a BBQ last weekend but didn't feel confident in the weather. Oxfordshire has been absolutely wonderful. Had to cancel because I didn't want so many people (6) in confined spaces, garden would have been fine as I have a meadow behind the house.Plenty other opportunities though 🙂

we won't win though, as this won't go away. We'd have to hold off on freedoms for a year and a half if lucky. This is the worst time for this to linger into it as well. This hit the US and other countries hard in march and others later. So the starting up for treatments kicked into late. If this hit hard here later fall and like other countries. We'd be in lockdown December through March but treatments might've shown effective and maybe some time of mass produced, some time by summer, so people can actually enjoy the summer. Being locked down sucks, but it's easier to deal with if living in states that have winter, cold and snow anyway. When summer hits, it's like important for just mental health socialize and enjoy life. Let's not forget for people trying to get back to work, and just basic freedoms. Yes you don't want to go crazy with just socializing and not being careful. But at some point there becomes the dilemma of "how long do people do this?" You want to be safe and so others aren't infected, but people crowding at Costcos and walmarts like cattle, didn't really prevent mass gatherings and you know damn sure, many weren't going out of necessity but boredom. At some point you need to try to live though. 'Oh it's not a big deal, by next year it will be normal". Will it? And even if it does. My opinion is that time is precious, so time taken away to living life is a big deal. Oh you don't want to risk it because you could die or another person could die. But we all die. i'm pretty sure statistics are whether getting hit by a drunk driver or in general, that people are more likely to die from car accident.
So just think of that fact that you can't take a day for granted let alone months, so utmost important to live and not be restricted. There's the virus, but then in the same token, you can die in so many other ways and same for vulnerable people. How long do you lock up, living in fear, before you lose the point of life, which is to live? What if you didn't do things like you wanted to do in the past, and promised yourself before covid hit? "oh this will pass" Yeah, but you could like die from a car accident during that time, which I don't know, I'd if I'm going to die, I'd rather lived life, than do shit and then die anyway right? I've seen articles of how torn terminally ill people are now. It's dangerous for them to not social distance, but they are dying anyway so sadly, they obviously were particularly planning to probably really try adventurous stuff and live life and now can't.
Survival of the fittest.. like animal did and survived.. so we have to follow the same and survive..
survive, but not living life which is most important because you never know what tomorrow brings. So you can protect yourself the best you can from the virus, not lived life... only to die anway in a car accident, etc during that time right? Or live life. I don't know, I don't want to die either way, but I rather die having lived before that happened, than be careful to not get covid, but didn't live or do what I promised to do during that period and well die anyway. I'm just really upset because this was going to be my year and I heard other people say that before covid hit and then everything on hold. I'm like past depressed now but very angry. Most of the world fucked this up when I feel it could have been prevented if WHO and china didn't lie about sheer number of cases. 80,000 for 2 months, gtfo. If other countries knew much more hit, maybe things could've shut down fast. We all suffer while the elites are still doing fine.
Someone has a sick since of humor... Idiots screaming I can't breath I can't breath...
This. People think that for the sake of our economy, we must reopen everything, and that the infections have peaked, however, it would only make sense that there will be a spike in cases once more people are out and about, without respecting social distancing measures.
LOL... same here.
See there you go. We have proof
I rather get lockdown wid u alil longer
There is no sooner. The more you social distance the longer it will take actually. The only ways to end sooner is get a vaccine or get herd immunity, which implies lots of people should get the virus
there is no vaccine in Scotland yet. Why wouldn't you try and reduce the amount of people who get it? Keep the numbers small and don't risk other people's death
You must try, but the methods you use shouldn't bring as many bad consequences as the virus and shouldn't violate human rights...
That is exactly why it is not dumb. Airborne viruses are usually on water droplets, which are densest at close range.
Bi shit right
I wish you only the very best with you’re eye appointment and a good recovery
Thank you. Due to all the protest now they said there is a spike in the Coronavirus across America. I am not a mask guy either Nor am I a home body. I don't think the virus is going anywhere until they find a cure for it If that's even possible
I know medical professionals who say they've worked with covid-19 patients. Ones who don't know each other. And even some of the right wing media agrees it isn't fake
HAHAHAHAHAH LOL23,000 to 25,000 have supposedly died from covid NOT FACT9.56 million cancer deaths62,000 flu 140,000 strokeWHY DIDN'T WE SHUT DOWN THE WORLD FOR CANCER?USE YOUR HEAD PEOPLEthe virus is fake 1) kid drowns in pool ( THEY SAY COVID DEATH )2) a guy literally died from being fat and not taking care of himself ( THEY SAY ITS COVID )disease And viruses does not exist IT ALL STARTS WITH WHAT YOU PUT IN YOUR MOUTH if all you eat is garbage you will feel like shit and get sick you eat healthy you will feel good THE HERBS ARE FOR THE HEALING OF THE NATIONALKALIZE THE BODYdearguest.com/.../IMG_0277.jpgYOU HAVE THIS INSIDE YOUR BODY RIGHT NOW
You just attempted to use a bunch of facts that have nothing to do with covid, to try to prove covid is fake. And you did that while being anonymous because you don't want people to know how flawed your logic is. So I'm not gonna consider your logic solid and I'll stop talking to you
ok so you are stupid on purpose got it
Your such a good human for not falling for it
Mucoid plaque isn't real lmao
@ClearSea HAHAHAHAHreally so what did I push out when I went to the bathroom :)
Good human don't fall for it
Yes of course, somebody strategized a master plan to keep you two months in home for no reason. On one side you could be dead, on other you have to stay home. So hard a choice.
@sensible27 I never stay home or stayed locked in doors. I kept doing my own thing
That wasn't hard to get but is irrational, 2 months or some months vs life, what would you choose?
@sensible27 You are not going to like this. But I would choose freedom and not be scared. Now if I was sick. I would use common sense and stayed home.Just look at the riots people are all close to each other. Goes to show how made up the virus is. Its just a flu that hyped up to scare people
By the way it was not one person with a master plan. Its a group of people called a think tank. This was planned to happen in 2020 back in 2008. This was all thought out and planned
The risks are just not comparable, if I or someone told you they were going to shoot you if you come out that day or you can just stay home and not be shot, it is still rational to stay home for one day or one week if you think their is some probability that they are going to shoot you, whether or not if you believe them or not.
Think tank like the eric wienstien and peter theil group?
@sensible27 I had to work I couldn't stay indoors for two months or I'd be homeless. I'm not immunocompromised or elderly so my risk of dying from the virus is virtually zero so...
