What I worry about making masks mandatory is the potential catch-22s. Say if someone doesn't have a mask and a store sells masks but they need one to get in. Or if a person needs to take public transit to get somewhere to buy masks. So there's the accessibility issues and also availability issues if supply can't keep up with increased demand.
I can completely understand where you’re coming from with this. And there’s also the argument of making a mask yourself but if you don’t have the materials then you’re back where you started.

Or they could sell the masks at the doors. Either ways I think would help with compliance and bring in more people by making the masks available at the door.
