BLM has had a positive impact, especially when it began. But now it has mutated into something different and toxic. Its hurting black lives too, all these riots get black people injured, their businesses robbed... they are becoming more hateful, the agenda is to support and to empower, lift them up. What they do is drag others down, burn buildings, like terrorists. Did you watch the interview?
1. I don't need to see the interview because it's irrelevant.2. All that matters is the long-term results...You know, it hurts like shit to give birth - during birth, it definitely hurts the mother - but in the long-run, she has a new baby to enjoy.Same with the birth of this country. The American businesses that were buying tea from the English to sell in America got screwed over during the Boston Tea Party in DEC 1773.History shows again and again this lesson:No pain, no gain.Revolution never is victim free.
But what we do today, shapes the history for tomorrow, for our future. Long term results are not going to be good if BLM continues on this toxic path. That childbirth example was really dumb. Childbirth takes hours, while motherhood is for years. So the pain of what this movement is doing is not shortlived, it is CAUSING more pain and giving opposite results, with barely anything positive. You dont watch the interview because you know they will speak the truth and give you facts, so you prefer see everything in your own simplified version and stay blind.
I am not worried. You know what's "toxic"?The 250 years of slavery in America and the subsequent 150 years of systemic racism born down South during Reconstruction which is taking its sweet time time to die off.Well, we see that justice delayed is justice denied which is why the US Supreme Court made its first #BLM movement in its unanimous 1954 decision "Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka Kansas".And then we had the #BLM movement in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act and 1965 with the Voting Rights Act. And the 24th Amendment in 1964:"The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax."#BLM is a lot older than #BLM...And it sure did piss off or hurt a lot of people including innocent people.Tough shit. You reap what you sow and if you need to get your ass kicked to do what is right, so be it.Word of advice: Stop using "toxic". It's such an overused term that it is meaningless now... Like I am lactose intolerant, drank a quart of milk, and am now passing toxic gas out of my ass.
Ahh here we go again. Another black person bringing up centuries old past as if what is happening today is related. The reason people keep bringing up the past is why it takes so long to make a better future. We should focus on the problems of today, and how to make tomorrow better, not look back centuries ago and expect people of today, who had nothing to do with that pay for it and feel guilty for it. The BLM movements in the past were necesary. But today, slavery is gone, black people have the exact same rights as white people, but racism will always exist, no matter how many BLM movements you create, people just like to hate. And you are missing the point, the point was not if BLM is necessary. What it stands for and its aim is great, its just the way they go about doing it is just useless and doesn't achieve anything.
I am not black.I am a cracker as a saltine. And, since you assumed I was black, congratulations on being a racist. It took a while, but you earned your dunce cap!I was really hoping you wouldn't...And, PS, it's achieving a great deal - more than I can ever remember and that's going back to the mid-1960s.
Time to mute this thread...
When you have a NON-BLACK, WHITE asshole who states that "No, of course not. #BLM is definitely having a positive impact on blacks and on the soul of western civilization", along with "1. I don't need to see the interview because it's irrelevant. 2. All that matters is the long-term results... You know, it hurts like shit to give birth - during birth, it definitely hurts the mother - but in the long-run, she has a new baby to enjoy."- you know that they WANT to stir up and incite racial hatred against us black people. And THAT'S the "positive impact" HE'S hoping for- that he'll be able to invoke enough of a backlash to get the lynchings to start up again, so that he can exploit them as a sacrificial lamb for whatever he actually cares about. Like raping and sexually assaulting whoever he wants whenever he wants with impunity, in good ol' Harvey Weinstein's case- after all, he was one of the most prolific donors to the Democrat Party in its history, and a lifelong supporter of and contributor to the Democratic Party, including the Presidential campaigns of President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Because that's the true face of the lobbyists and backers who finance contemporary "progressivism", and identity politics, organizing BLM, ANTIFA and other similar groups, in order to incite hatred and increase societal divisions between all of the 'plebs' who they view with total disdain. He proclaims that the Harvey Weinstein case's been "confronted"? Yeah, right.
2. Those statues were to remember what happened, an important part of history, not to glorify them. 3. They would have been charged either way since there is video evidence4. Nothing wrong with chokeholds if properly used.5. Are you one of those people who thinks defunding the police is a good idea? Do you really want to see what the country with less or no police looks like when all criminals can do what they want? There would be so much more killings based on race compared to those that happen when a few racist cops manage to get into the force.6. That law wouldve happened either way since its only common sense police should warn its them not to be mistaken with an intruder when they do a search. That incident was not racist, if you fire at the police, they will shoot back.7. And 1. Such as? And were they really a result of blm?8. They better use that in something other than riots and protests.Did you watch the video? What about the arguments they discuss?
What a mess
