very well said and i learnt some new things! also you gave me the idea of what im going to do my casualty essay on.
@GraveDoll Thank you so much for your kind comment and I am pleased that you found it useful. Best of luck on your essay.
So now we don't just disagree on how to do things, now there's just a complete lack of respect for opposing viewpoints because each side thinks the other side is completely brainwashed by the biased reporting of their preferred news outlet, and people get malicious about it because half a nation of perceived useful idiots are fucking up the way they believe or are influenced to believe we should be running things. It's a mess. These States of America are anything but United, I'll tell you that much.
Newspaper retractions are bullshit because they're not legally required to give it equal space and positioning as the original story. They should have to by law. If you print a front page story with a giant header, and then have to retract it or any PART of it, you should be required to put it in the same place - front page - same print size. If not, you get fined HUGE bucks. But no... you can bury a retraction anywhere in the paper. Crock of shit.
it always was though... in 1856 the washington post ran a story for a week about the space monkies that were living on the moon

Thank you for your response Ash.
The internet has been extremely helpful in expanding the understanding of these things, I certainly would know nothing if it were not for the ideas i have been exposed to over the last 20 years online and that too is obviously under attack, search engines decide what you see and what you dont, the same content is constantly fed back to you so that you are trapped within whatever bubble you happen to be in.I can't know because i dont have the perspective but i suspect that the media tailored to me within the bubble of my country looks as ridiculous to outsiders as the American media looks to me. I look at it and think how could anyone possibly believe any of that shit? But of course it only looks strange to me because its not meant for me, I am choking down the same shit its just a different flavour. So i stopped consuming what i would call 'the narrative' a long time ago, I dont watch tv, though i do watch tv shows and films, i dont listen to radio, read papers or magazines and i dont tolerate aggressive advertising online and i try to avoid looking at billboards. No doubt i miss stuff as a result but the big stuff filters through to me because everyone talks about the subjects they have been told to talk about and say the things they have been told to say within the framework in which it has been presented to them. On the plus side, I no longer have all that noise buzzing in my mind, all those jingles and advertising slogans that were there for my whole life before i unplugged.
Which news sources would you recommend?
I guess it depends on what you're looking for, but here is a slightly outdated guide (everything has shifted to the right since trump won). www.adfontesmedia.com/.../
You can't say CNN is fake news and watch Fox News lol. Both sucks massively and are the same in many ways
@NorthwestRider They aren't the same, CNN is far from the truth, their headlines are inaccurate.
Both are awful, both serve the establishment. People who watch CNN are as stupid as the people who watch Fox. Like people who support Biden are as stupid as the people who support Trump
@NorthwestRider No, Trump is against the establishment, explain why Fox was against Trump in the beginning? That's why I watch Tucker, he's against the establishment, he pointed out that BLM was pushed by the elite to cover up classism.
Lol Trump is against the establishment? Man, you are soo foolish and brainwashed. He is part of the establishment. He is really no different than Biden is
@NorthwestRider He is anti-globalist, who do you think is better than, are you those people who don't vote? He's better than anyone else right now.
Lol he is a little bitch boy for Saudi Arabia, Israel, Wall Street and Military–industrial complex
