Here are the real anti fascists, the 442nd Regimental combat team who fought the Nazis in Europe while also fighting a war against prejudice at the home front. A group of brave men who beat all the odds.
I agree those are the original antifas. What side would they be on today? Probably against this Trump cult.
@OddBeMeThey wouldn’t be siding with “Antifa” either.
We’re talking academically. But I think any soldiers who liberated the death camps would see the inherent authoritanism of Trump.
@OddBeMeCalling a president “authoritarian” just because you don’t agree with his political views doesn’t sound very academic.It’s very hard to tell whose side if any they’d be on since not many of the 442nd RCT vets are around anymore. So trying to pinpoint what side they’d take is speculating a hypothetical scenario.But let’s not forget that the political left wing of the 1940s supported the internment of Japanese Americans, while it was a conservative president (Ronald Reagan) who issued an official apology to Japanese-American internees when he signed civil liberties act of 1988.
Wow, lots of inferences here. Can you point me to an Antifa platform? I haven't seen any organized structure. The only continuity of Antifa is Fox News "be afraid" segments.
I can't. Like I said, and like you said, they're a bunch of groups with the same goals. I'm not sure what you mean with the Fox News comment?
You know the Fox News scare machine playing up antifa like black panthers. And there’s not even groups of antifa. There’s just protests that happen and they’re called antifa. Some idiots may pretend to be antifa agents, but they’re blowing smoke.
What do antifa believe? The only coherent message I can’t see is being against fascism.
Thats basically it really. Antifa is short for "Anti fascism". Where different groups differ is how to achieve getting rid of it. Some are aggressive towards right wing people. Those get into the news. Those taint the cause.Like you said its not an organisation its different groups. Like green parties around the world. All have 1 thing definitely in common: saving the environment. However party policies might differ very much between different countries green parties. All of which have different situation, no country is the same. No person is the same. Different groups led by different ideal, bound by 1 message: Against Fascism.Disclaimer: i dont support antifa, not because i like fascism but because i despise extremists. And the most extreme are often in leading positions among groups.
Antifa Stands for Anti First Amendment
You think anti fascists are only concerned with the environment? I’m sure the lefties car but we’re fighting fascist policies like all of Trumps work the last three years.
@OddBeMe no i used green parties as comparison.
I just did. WW2 fought fascism. Antifa is anti-fascist. The term comes from the Spanish Revolution only a few years before the war.
The U. S. Military during the 1940's wasn't anti-facist, but rather against the Axis. There has never a goal of ending fascism, but rather just those were apart of the Axis and ending the war itself. Actually the U. S. first profited off of the war and didn't give a shit about the war itself because no one wanted to be involved. We only got involved because Japan was messing with China which eventually led to the Pearl Harbor attack. Also, antifa is pretty much a joke and very disorganized. Majority of it is just infiltrated with feds, since there are mediocre terrorist groups in it. I don't even know how you can compare antifa and the 1940's U. S. Military
Hitler wanted and offered deals with America and Britain as he saw us as “closer to Aryan”. We told him to fuck off. The axis were fascists. And all war propaganda in America shows that.
The Axis consisted of Italy, Germany, Japan, and Russia. (Russia leaving it later on) The Axis wasn't just fascist nations. Also, the U. S. did make trade deals with Germany. Only once did the Pearl Harbor attack happen did their trade stop.
Soviet Union had an armistice with Hitler, never actually joined the Axis. But if you read history you’d know Hitler was planning on invading Russia for lebenstraum since day one. Not that I’m defending Stalin.And yes, I’d consider racists and sexists trying foist their views on us to be fascists. We don’t want you dead. Just out of the way so we can make the US great again. To borrow a phrase,
Alright, that's a good point for Russia actually never being apart of the Axis Powers, but Hitler had heard reports of Russia preparing to attack, so Hitler decided to as well. This actually was one of the major reasons Hitler got addicted to drugs, since the anxiety he got from it all was pretty bad. Both sides really just didn't like nor trust each other. (Germany and Russia)Also, I still just don't get with the notion that the 1940's U. S. Military is antifa. There's huge differences between the two. As I said before during that time the U. S. didn't really care about the fascism itself, but they just wanted to defeat Japan after being attacked and then later decided to help in fighting Germany to end the war, since they were already involved at that point. The U. S. really only gets involved in other nation's affairs if the event in some way or another profits the U. S. instead of the people living there.
So you’re ok with fascism? You want it in America?
Not to mention, my grandparents weren't Zionists.
So antifa hates white people and are zionists? Can you point to that official platform?
How can anarchists be for a political group? That’s an oxymoron. We’re obviously parsing labels. And grouping a bunch of protesters into a scary group on Fox News.
Some of those who join Antifa are Anarchists that just want to destroy. There, it's been laid out so that you can understand it too
I pretty sure most people marching don’t know who Karl Marx is. You have built up this enemy in your mind. I don’t see you as an enemy.
If you are part of Antifa then you are absolutely my enemy. We are inching towards a real civil war with shooting and believe me when I tell you that Antifa is everyone's enemy. The liberals in my family blame Antifa for all of the riots and the looting. They think that Antifa hijacked BLM for their own reasons. The conservatives in my family see Antifa for what they are and they will be focusing on Antifa first when this goes down.
I would advise you to calm down. We’re not enemies.
I'm fine, but if you dont think that America has now woken up to the truth about Antifa then you're in denial. People are already discussing how normal citizens should fight them, what weapons and tactics to use. How to defend yourself legally like that guy in Mexico did by shooting the Antifa guy with the knife and that had just hit him in the head with a long board while 2-3 other member of antifa were also attacking him.
* in New Mexico
The “people” discussing how to fight antifa are cuckservative, Fox News watching fascists.
Hey, that's awesome. Stay safe my brother. I'm sure you'll never get what is coming to you
They're anarchists and connected with international communist groups
@SuccessfulHornDog :) :) :) :)
Yeah, lefties are nerds.
When we’re violent, it’s against our local farmers market for not having the right granola.
