Thanks For Most Helpful Guy :)
I agree! Net worth matters much more than actual income. I know plenty of broke people who make a lot of money. But since they don't know how to manage it, they blow through it every paycheck and have nothing left.
Dave Ramsey says "too much month left at the end of the money" 😱😂
Lol, I love it!
Thanks for MHO!
Very true! Sometimes owning a lot of stuff is the quickest way to become broke!

The types of things they are able to focus on is a good clue!
I actually have almost everything on that list. The only ones I don't have is a nanny or a gardener. I don't vacation in other countries, but next summer, I'm going to Los Angeles for a month.
kids in private school?
It's just me.
I live alone and still single.
Not going to dig into your personal finances, but you are seemingly among a select few who have financial independence.
Thanks, I'm just starting to notice that I seem to be living much more comfortably than other people. That's what made me ask this question. Just trying to figure out what most people think is above average. The main thing that helps me is that I really really really hate spending money.
Most people get caught up in the rat race - including me. I realized too late that I didn't need a big house to support my family.. or that new SUV. I spend as much as I make, and then some. We were fine 10 years ago when we lived in an apartment and had none of the expenses we have today, we just didn't realize it at the time. We bought into that whole American dream, keeping up with the jones's, etc.. It was stupid and a mistake. I was envious of all my friends buying houses and seeing their 'fulfillment' from it. Turns out it's a complete drag.
Yes, that's true. There are lots of things that are more important than money!
Multiple sources of income is a good indicator.
That is a very solid indicator. I don't know why fancy cars and designer clothing is often something that people view as a rich person's thing. Designer clothing can be worn by middle class people too and fancy cars well middle class people can rent it too.
True and people forget the fact that a person who spent money on fancy stuff doesn't have the money anymore. It's better to buy conservatively and then keep the money in the bank instead of trying to be flashy. That's how a lot of people build finances... by NOT buying things.
Exactly. But rich people don't really keep much money in the bank. They tend to keep money invested or tied up in places that will offer some sort of a return.
That's a lot better than buying overpriced material things to try and impress people.
It is indeed mate. Its ok to buy something expensive but for yourself and not to gain someone's approval or impress them. Moderation is the key really.
True, some people with a lot of money are always stressed out from working so much.
A, not I
That's a beautiful answer. :)
Hi V *hugs* 😄💓💓
From my point of view, anything over $40,000 is rich.
Do you mean like being willing to eat out a lot instead of cooking at home?
They can afford it and it may be a very regular thing rather than a rare treat.
