That's something we open-minded people struggle with, right - changing our minds? I believe networking as a concept is great. People can benefit from one another, but for those that I've come across that actually use the term, it seems to come from a perspective that is transactional, impersonal, or downright cold. It's different than seeing a billboard for a "networking event"
Well on the first part, I'll just say... ha ha?(not sure if I totally understand it, but goona assume it's a joke)Yes, the two people I referenced - they both use other people, and are always tallying score. Disgusting.
It was just a light-hearted comment for you mentioning "I won't be a convert", so not a joke per se, but I thought it was worth laughing at
Yeah. But you're basically saying I'm not open-minded. And my point was that I feel so strongly about this thing in particular, I can't be converted. But open-mindedness really is broad, and it's rare for a person to be all one or the other. Though some people are way, way more or less than others, that is for sure.Anyway, no biggie. I think we've sufficiently beaten this to death now.
Ah, I didn't mean that at all. Sorry that it came across that way. I think you are very open-minded
This is getting very awkward. (We're heading to 'compliment extractor territory' here, as I call it.)Hey, remember this?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIH8OLT7XWAI love this movie. This and Finding Nemo are my favourite Pixars.
I think I get the point, but I wasn't feeling any type of awkward until just now
Hahahaha. Would you believe you're the second male friend on here who's used that word back to me today? "It's not awkward for me, Amanda." Hmmmm. Does 2, a pattern make? Fiddle dee dee
My point is that I have no idea where this is coming from
Damn dude, that's something to talk about. That's my salary 😂
Mostly Flybe shares topped up by a couple of Rolexes plus there is still the Diablo and the rental Mulsanne to watch over the next few years... I got 10% on the watches and 1% on the shares so I made £1,000 so far

Oh hi there Lola 😏 I went to University of Michigan, specifically for networking, or as I called it "making connections". I never made any though, always got that social anxiety.
I was like whos lola but then thought about it 🤣
