That is exactly the attitude people have today. You have been robbed of any compassion you may have ever had. Sad really. Concern for the safety of others is concern for your dad, or sister, or cousin, or friend, or coworker who may not be wearing a helmet, knowing the chance of death jumps 100%.. So yeah, I care.
If they are too stupid to care about their own safety why should anyone else bother? The government should not be our nanny.
I get that. If people make the choice that is obviously dangerous, that's their stupidity, but, if that choice kills them, people just think that they deserve it? This falls back into the we are human and we make mistakes. Have you ever done something stupid, and did people tell you that you are a retard and you deserved It? If not, how would you feel if someone told you that?Bottom line for me: COMPASSION FOR OTHERS
If someone wants to cover himself in kerosene and to see if he could survive getting burned, who are we to stop them? Only laws that should be in place are those that prevent someone taking advantage of other people, I see nothing wrong with cretins being allowed to do things that are only gonna affect them. Compassion is one thing, but wanting mommy government to impose laws that won't do anything is stupid. This isn't about people deserving it. The thing is that idiots are gonna be idiots, and idiots have every right to be idiots.
I'm not sure why you keep referring to depending on the government. The state law doesn't require a helmet, and I think it's stupid. I'm not going to demand that law be re-written. I'm just pointing out that a helmet protects the brain if you wreck the motorcycle, and that people who actually don't wear helmets, because they don't have to, is poor judgement and dangerous.
And people die when they walk downstairs, but stairs shouldn't be illegal. This is something that the government should not be involved in.
I firmly believe that you read wayyyyyy too deep into this. Yes, it's a law. Yes, the government in this state made the law to wear helmets on bicycles, but not motorcycles, and I not once mentioned that the law needs changed. I think it is a stupid choice to not wear a motorcycle helmet. See, what I was doing was expressing my opinion. You interpreted that I need the government to change the law. You brought that up, not me. So your argument was about government involvement, when I said NOTHING about government, other than that was how the law was in my state. Oh boy!
So, anyways, people that don't wear motorcycle helmets are fools. That was the point of my opinion.
Yeah they are really dumb, we agree.
Follow behind what?
People lack common sense.
That they do no disagreement there
People who lack common sense are the one's that run their mouths.
But they do that because they don't know how stupid they are being with what they say
Yes, and those people are always the one's being interviewed on tv. It's always the stupid one's! Like the interviewers select them on purpose. LoL
But thats it whats the news shows is never by mistake they love pushing agendas they love showing extreme on both sides as thats how they get sells and people to keep them relevant
So you would agree that mainstream media is to blame for all of the troubles going on right now?
Not all the problems but they do help to encourage them because at the end of the day we are all acountable for our own actions many problems we have today are due to both sides being unable to simply talk about the issues without shutting the other side down no one cares to be accountable for themselves but hit back with but that side does this much worst cancel culture being a prime example people on both sides agreeing that it as a whole is negative yet both rush to employ it
Differences in opinions are common. Respecting each other's differences are not common.
Yeah so much so and it's got so much worat these days its like if you don't think like me you are a shit person that deserves to die I dont understand how people are so short sighted
RESPECT- to show regard or consideration for: "Angelina respected that Sandy didn't agree with her."
A dying trait
