Its water consumption and soil erosion. Holiday resorts and urban development drain the rivers dry, like rivers have run dry so yeah brits are part of the blame. It rains all the time in Britain yet whenever there's a good summer there's immediately a hose ban.
the spannish have it in hand because like i said, the eu has funded ways to address the issues just as they would here if one, we didn't charge so much for water in the first place and two, if we werent soon to be left... i travel all over Europe and its incredible how many interstructure projects you see with the eu funding logo on the sign boards... as for the uk inparticular, that money raised by the likes of anglian water and severn trent doesn't get reinvested in projects for the future for us to store clean water or irradicate leaks... instead it goes to big bonuses for the investors... one main reason water supply should never have been privatized... it was kept in public ownership in northern Ireland and strangly they dont have to pay water bills or ever have hose pipe bans in place. i hope you see my point
The spainish don't have it in hand at all, they are ignoring the problem Politicians don't even mention it. Everything is fine by the coast but once you go inland you see it.Northern Ireland always gets hose bans at the first stretch of good weather which is ridiculous because it never stops raining here.Northern Ireland Water is not privatised but is largely underfunded but is paid for via house rates which is combined with bin collection and other stuff. I think soon we will be charged for rates, my Dad works for a company called echo and theyve been contracted over the last few years to install water metres at every address in Northern Ireland so like southern Ireland we will probably soon be paying for our bin collection and water.I think a big problem is private water companies basically bottling the water the charge taxpayers for to sell back to taxpayers. Also the water here is clean enough to drink right from the tap with no filter.
Seriously though, what is happening?
Apparently he wants to leave Barcelona for more money and a chance at winning trophies before his career ends.
Oh right, I'm all for him moving to Man City. But whats happening with that Island?
What's happening the ecological issue?
Soil erosion, water shortages, drought etc Holiday resorts are literally drinking the rivers dry.
Thank you, that sucks. I think at some point, the entire world is going to have problems like that.
