Is it good long term to keep saving peoples lives?

Anonymous
Say instead of curing people from cancer, improving car safety, increasing people's health by better nutrition, providing medical care to very old people etc at some stage the world's population will get to a point where there are too many people, not enough land and resources for everyone to live happily, because eventually we will get there where every place on earth will be like Tokyo or New York City with no green spaces or open areas.

What are your thoughts about this?
Should there be an age limit where if your too old or if your too sick, too much of a burden on society that it's better off being put down?
Is it good long term to keep saving peoples lives?
