Dave Rubin has used the term interchangeably with "classical liberal". But the problem with that is that Dave Rubin means "Libertarian" when he talks about being a classical liberal. This is of course nonsense because so called "Libertarians" in the US are (and always were) a totalitarian right wing extremist group. What are referred to as "Libertarians" in the US would be better described as proprietarians, but that's another story:
Essentially Fascism and so called "Libertarianism" are two sides of the corporatist coin. Fascism seeks to expand corporate power at the expense of individual liberties by abolishing negative rights while "Libertarianism" seeks to do so by abolishing positive rights.
