Yes, it’s pretty bad. The biggest one is more than 200,000 acres burned and 16% contained, and I’m only about 15 miles away from it. Then to the south of me is another one in a National Forest that is above 100,000 acres burned and 12% contained.

We’re fine, but I just wish I had finished weed whacking around our shop because we got all kinds of chemicals and stuff in there. I also wish I was able to Halter and trailer train my horse so it would be easier to evacuate her.Luckily we had a major fire in 2015 that burned our Northern flank, so it will protect us a bunch, but we still have the risk of embers and dry lightning.
@Matt57 what would help from a study by nature sustainability magazine, california needs to burn 20 million acres in a controlled burn to get everything back to normal due to forest mismanagement unfortunately it's behind a pay wall so I can't get the article
