Does Ginsburg’s death block any chance the Dems have at cheating? Should Republicans hold the vote after Nov 3rd to boost voter turnout?

Trump stacked the lower courts with conservatives because Obama left hundreds of seats open.

However with Ginsburg’s death should the legality of “mail in ballots” after election day head to the Supreme court to decide, which democrats were hoping for, at the very worst it would tie with John Roberts in opposition, which means the lower court ruling stands.

Effectively meaning Democrats have lost any hopes of cheating this election cycle.

Also important to note is that Mitch McConnell said he would hold a vote before the election. But there is speculation he might hold it right after Nov. 3rd as well, because it might energize Republican turnout.

And should that backfire, the new congress doesn’t assume power until January 3rd the following year, which means the Republicans could still hold a vote before the new congress.

Also important to note is that Supreme Court nominees do not require a confirmation vote from the house, just a simple majority in the Senate.

But even in a worst case scenario with all of the Democrats in opposition and Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney, Pence could still break the 50-50 tie.
