nice, concisely put.

True, social mobility is tough. But could it be more of apathy? 50/50?
Are you asking if there's people who are poor but could have more if it wasn't because of their apathy? Sure, but I'm talking about the overall, systemic picture. Also, a lot of people might be apathetic because they see no hope because they were born into poor circumstances. I don't think anyone who hasn't been born into poorness has any clue how hard it might be for them to even have any hope. So, even apathy can be a product of social class. But the one thing that no one seems to talk about is options. The vast majority of poor people simply never have the time, energy, or resources to do anything to improve. They have to survive on a day to day basis, the money they have, is for what they (and their families) need. They cannot save any money. Ever. They cannot get an education. They simply do not have the time and resources. And everyone saying they could just work harder and save money and what not, is a clueless, privileged, cynical brat. I'm privileged. I'm aware of that. I know I'm in an okay-ish financial situation because I always had some kind of safety net. Other people don't.
I don’t anyone wants to, just think that god or somebody will fix it.
Obviously no one wants to but some people are content to just get by from daily wage to daily wage
I remember paying my plumber his pay and he didn't come back to work till his money was all spent
