Based on these two kinds of people who would you feel more bad for?

Person 1 - A shooting star that accomplished a lot of goals early on. Nothing and no one got in their way of achievement. They probably had many degrees, honors, and kept up with their mental health and more. Bright future ahead. But someday and somehow, person 1 was not feeling as ambitious like they were younger. They do not strive for the best anymore. They want to be comfortable and happy in their own bubble. They take less risks and thus miss opportunities. They seem happy but not as lucky or cool as before... does this take away from their stardom quality?

Person 2 - A lazy person who puts others before themself. Does not really bother with their looks and goals in life as they prefer being a couch potato playing video games or just staying from trouble but not contributing much to society. They enjoy comfort over going to major places and experiencing new big things. Then someday, somehow, person 2 finds a new more productive hobby or passion and goes with it. They seem to be doing better than before. Does their new attitude make them more attractive and luckier than person 1?

Change can be good and needed most of the time. I am just wondering if you notice so many people like this exist in this society as we speak. People who started from the bottom, made their way to the top, and stayed there are hard to find. But what are your thoughts on those who crash and burn, or those who rise above after failure?
