Because according to a recent study this is indeed the case. And to think the right has been complaining about how "radical" the left has become (FFS even McCarthy wasn't brazen enough to compare a centrist like Joe Biden to a communist; their shit's gotten too dumb to even parody). Even though the Democratic party has been relatively consistent in its' positions in recent years even though the Republican Party has been drifting further to the the right.

But maybe they aren't being disingenuous when they say the left has become "radicalized" because as the GOP and its' allies drift further to the the right into extremist territory, the more distant (i. e. the more radical) the left will seem to their distorted perspective.
