didn't you see situation in Italy, where there hospitals where overloaded and they transported bodies with trucks? Its not that covid19 is so deadly, its fact that it can spread fast and hospitals get overloaded and when someone gets sick, has accident they can't be helped because there are no more beds.
_inkrat sorry for your suffering... here I. The states it’s nothing but a political tool...
I’m confused, so all the people you mentioned besides the person in their 90s, this all happened during the pandemic?
@courtney06 I know a lot of people who have covid. My bff has to go to the hospital over it. She said she’d never been lonelier. Nobody could visit her or anything.
@courtney06 yes all within the last 5 months.
Lol. Pretty much

Nope sorry. This is not killing droves of people like the media wants you to believe.
@alcoholic1992 Even Trump admitted that COVID19 would've killed millions of Americans if not for the precautionary measures his administration took to control it.
@Alcoholic1992 Well, good thing I'm not looking at media numbers, then. I'm looking at health reports from worldwide organizations.Do you think that only the media provides numbers or something? It's insane how many male Americans on here seem to forget that there are worldwide organizations that are not US-based media organizations.Education in the US is really failing you guys.
@mistixs that's false. You're just making shit up.
It's not false. That's what he says in his rallies. I was forced to listen to his rallies every day for nearly 2 months so I think I would know.
Transcript of Trump at the town hall on October 15th: "We did the right thing. We were expected to lose 2,200,000 people, and maybe more than that. We’re at 210,000 people... But we were expected to lose, if you look at the original charts from original doctors who are respected by everybody, 2,200,00 people. We saved 2 million people."www.rev.com/.../donald-trump-nbc-town-hall-transcript-october-15Aww do you dislike that even your god disagrees with you?
@Alcoholic1992 And just think, Trump likes to down play the seriousness of this AND the virus is still around.Your country hasn't even exiting the first wave - it's just been spiking this whole time. Not to mention every Trump rally in the last few months has literally been a super-spreader event. You'd better not be visiting your grandparents or older family members. You're a literal plague rat.
Just curious, why does covid19 like Trump rallies, but it allegedly doesn't spread during liberal protests and riots? According to ISideWith I'm 77% liberal, and Trump's handling of COVID19 is one of my major gripes with him. But the hypocrisy from other liberals is astounding me this year, including the hypocrisy of calling Trump rallies "super spreader events" while denying liberal protests and riots have any impact on the virus.
There's a variety of factors. From what I've read, it boils down to a difference in conditions.Liberal protests tend to try to respect social distancing as much as possible, they wear masks, and they take place outdoors.Whereas Trump rallies are often no-mask events (the views of Trump and his "diversity backdrop" are a dramatically different view than what's actually around the podium), super-packed together and indoors.Basically, protests obey 2/3 spread prevention methods (masks, outdoors) and Trump rallies disobey all 3 (no masks, no social distance, indoors).Plus the demographics are also more likely to spread. Trump rallies have a lot of poorly educated people who don't think COVID is real (because Trump advocated it wasn't), so they catch it at the event and go about their regular lives spreading it to everyone they contact.
I've had to watch Trump rallies every day for the past 2 months because someone in my family is a Trump supporter. The rallies are outdoors, and during some of the rallies, there were lots of people wearing "MAGA" masks. Not all of the rallies, though. But I didn't see a lot of mask-wearing or social distancing in many of the liberal protests either.
I just looked it up and Trump did have some indoor rallies which is very negligent. I think most were outdoors though.
Covid is real, but it not that bad. The fact that most people would need to be tested to know if they have it says a lot.
Oof, my condolences. Some of his more recent events have been outside and adhered to COVID protocols. Minnesota would outright not let him speak unless he did.But before then, especially in the south, it was very much super-spreader. I think event organizers began to take heed after the super-spreader events were noted.Best to cover your ass even on a sinking ship. As for Liberal protests, that's a good question. Either there's not enough testing available for those populations and they are super spreaders, but the lack of affordable testing is standing in the way; or, more horrifyingly, these people already have COVID and are protesting in part because they no longer have anything left to lose. They should definitely be self-isolating and wearing masks if they are infected though.
And even if you do test positive, it's far from a death sentence. There's nothing scary about a 99 percent chance of survival.
We still have no clue what the long term effects of a positive case are. At the best, we're looking at chronic pain and respiratory issues.Even those who recover in two weeks continue to face these issues:- fatigue- cough- shortness of breath- joint painAnd then there's organ damage:- Lungs: scar tissue can lead to permanent breathing issues.- Heart: even in mild cases, scans have revealed lasting heart damage, which may increase the risk of heart disease.- Brain: even in the young, Covid effects on the brain can lead to seizures, strokes, and temporary paralysis. Here, from one of the US' top hospitals in treatment and research: www.mayoclinic.org/.../art-20490351
In a country like yours with no universal healthcare, any one of these long term complications will spell bankruptcy for the people who suffer from them. But, hey, so you can't breathe, and so you have seizures that make it impossible to work for most companies, and hey, so you have chronic pain. You can't work, can't afford healthcare, live in a country where most people don't think welfare should be a thing. You can't afford to rest to get better, you can't afford to get treatment. You're homeless, starving, soon to be dead, but hey! You're not dead yet, are ya? Just be happy!
I think the difference in cases attributed to liberal protests vs Trump rallies is due to the following:1) in some states, contact tracers are told not to ask whether or not the patient has been to a protest2) the people attending liberal protests are young so many of them may be asymptomatic. However they can then spread it to older and more vulnerable relatives, so liberals really shouldn't have been minimizing that risk
Yeah, that's definitely fair.
It's not daft at all. It's legit.
The testing is because most people who catch the virus are contagious but symptom free for a week. How are people still not getting this after 8 months?
@PhilEvans I don't think you get what I'm sayin.. With the Spanish Flu or the Black Death you didn't need to be tested.. If this is so dangerous wouldn't need to be tested for it.. I already know they test because of "asymptomatic" spread.. Which most people who get tested don't have symptoms.. How do people still think this virus is worth bein scared over?
I understand you, you're just wrong. With Spanish flu and the Black Death medical science didn't allow for testing. Also, Covid-19 has a very different infection profile than either the 1917 influenza or the bubonic plague. It's far more contagious than either (influenza in general has a shorter asymptomatic period, and bubonic plague is primarily transmitted to humans by flea bites). Covid-19 doesn't have a massive fatality rate, but without the protection measures we're putting in place it'll infect pretty much everyone and kill about 0.5 to 1%.That's 1.75 to 3.5 million deaths in the US, 350,000 to 700,000 in the UK.Yes, if *you* catch Covid-19 *you* probably won't die. But someone you know will, probably an older relative. If we wear masks, wash our hands and keep our distance, we can reduce that number of deaths by 80% - saving at least a million lives in the US.
@PhilEvans Not only that but covid19 is really contagious, if it wasn't that contagious we probably would not know about it just because hospitals would not be overrun by people with covid19.
@PhilEvans Haha Okay.. We don't know if Covid is more contagious because the PCR test are not even that accurate.. They find traces if Coronavirus particles in the body and mark it as positive.. And the survival rate is 99.98% for the general population, and 94% for the Elderly population and that's those who actually get infected.. What killed people was medical negligance.. Puttin people on ventilators when they didn't need them, not prescribing Hydroxychloroquine or the other therapeutics that actually help out.. Also Those figures you spouting are hearsay at best.. Masks don't help.. In fact they probably contributed to the spread, I agree with washing hands for hygiene reasons, and no pointing and keepin our distance.. They are just usin this virus to scare people.. Even the CDC said 6% of the 200,000 deaths at the time were actually from Covid and not with co-morbidities.. So we are not saving any lives we are destroyin lives and stoppin people from gettin treatment for other diseases and illnesses..
@__inkRat Hospitals are not overrun by people with Covid-19.. They are overrun with people who need other treatments.. And the hospital tests them and marks them with Covid because they need the money since many hospitals are empty and not gettin as much business as they should..
You really have drunk the Trump coolaid.1) Hydroxychloroquine has been through trial after trial. It does NOTHING against Covid-192) Hospitals ARE overrun with Covid cases. European hospitals don't work for direct per-case pay, so have no financial incentive to make up stats. Still seeing a LOT of seriously ill people needing critical care beds.3) Masks DO work. You want three layers of dense-weave fabric to really offer protection, but anything is better than nothing. But you know, letting the poor, the ill, and the old die by the million will MAGA, right?
@PhilEvans man the mainstream media really has you by the balls. How sad.
@PhilEvans Dude it's not about Trump.. I've gotta this from people who spoke to actual experts.. 1) Many many doctors have used Hydroxychloroquine, zinc the other one I can't spell and has said it works great when prescribed early.. Also all those "studies" were fraud studies2) And hospitals are overrun with people sick and ill with other things than Covid.. And they maybe Influenza or Pneumonia.. Things that actually affect people and not a overrated cold.. 3) Experts from Ocea who train doctors said that mask don't work.. In fact they probably make you even sicker because you are breathin in your own air, and have made contributed to the so called spread.. 😂😂😂.. Homeless people are some of the most unsanitized people out there and yet they ain't dyin off.. They can't physical distance and whatever.. Can't stay and coward in they homes.. And yet they seem to be just fine.. Many old people died because they were denied excess to the basic human rights of freedom and had recoverin Covid patients put in elderly facilities.. So yeah.. They manufactured this virus and many people still fall for it..
@JDavid25 then how about removing all restrictions and seeing where it goes from there? Also remember there was Spanish flue to, flue can be really deadly. If you have talked with actual experts you should know it. Even better why dont you encourage your parents to get covid19 if its only a flue? Also china blocked entire cities off just to stop covid19, haven't seen anything even remotely close to that in America.
@__inkRat I'm all for removing restrictions and goin straight back to normal really.. And yeah the flu can be really deadly.. Even more deadly than Covid could ever dream of. But most people don't worry about it.. The same should be for Covid.. I hardly wear a mask unless I need to in establishments, and I'm always walkin around the gym without one.. Haven't died or even felt ill yet.. 😅😅😂😂..
@__inkRat As for China.. Those measures most likely didn't work, as even the World Health Organization said that they don't recommend lockdowms and that they could be harmful..
Why the downvote OP? Care to explain the reason of your disagreement?
I didn't downvote that.
I have a special thought on this... the meaning of life is suffering... “Hard times make strong men. Strong men make easy times. Easy times make weak men. Weak men make hard times.”Suffering has always been mankind’s motivation to be more... but only if your intelligent enough to understand, willing enough to learn, and strong enough to act. Unfortunately, this new generations not ignorant their stupid. They were raised to believe their singularly special. They can behave like fools and not be punished. Bring back the time you started shit and got punched in the face. Also I don’t believe in suicide. I will murder you before I commit suicide because of you.
I got it last year I think. It was awful!!!
And trump had it for literally a few days. As an old man... the swing is too severe.
Let’s all meet up in China town was pretty stupid... let’s not forget blm riots/protests
@VanillaSalt who said we forgot about it? The virus was already alive and well over here by then.
Remember as well trump closed the border the day AFTER it was called and was labeled racist by joe Biden.
Because they want it to be normal. We can go back to normal too as soon we decide too.
That's funny, cuz I don't know a single person who's died, or even gotten the virus. However, I do know plenty of people who have lost employment, kids gone without eating, and been in just a general state of depression.
That's some ass logic my guy. "Me and my circle don't have the virus so it must not exist" is like saying you don't know anybody with diabetes so it must be a lie.
Well aren't you lucky. I have lost three members of my family to it, and other members who survived it continue to have what may very well be permanent impairments as a result. And working in healthcare myself I am intimately familiar with hundreds of other people who have been very sick and spent weeks in the hospital with it.When New York was going through the worst of it my colleagues were in regular briefings with the top medical staff in NY and they shared the details with me on a regular basis. The realities there were pretty horrific, and we are headed to a worse place over the coming weeks. I am astounded at how ignorant so many people still are about what has happened and is still happening in the US.Yes, people have lost their jobs, gone hungry and suffered mental health issues, all better than dying or spending weeks in the hospital, in my opinion. Wouldn't you agree?
By the way, I am a conservative. I'm guessing you are too. Why the fuck does something so serious, that we should all care about, have to be s political?
Because it is political. To be frank, I don't think any of that stuff would have happened as an alternative. You can call it willful ignorance all you want, I call it like I see it. Dude, if you're not a liberal get your head out of your ass.
Viruses are not political. People dying because of them is not political. The issue of CoVid-19 has only become political because of liberal assholes and redneck fucktards like you. You have no clue how utterly absurd you sound to normal human beings.I have no doubt you call things like you see them; your problem is you can't see much with your head up your ass.
"normal human beings" aka the sheep. The virus is political whether you want to accept it as the truth or not.
lol bro talking about sheeple and he wants to be taken seriously.
The virus is not political. It's just a virus. But the way low-IQ people on BOTH sides of the aisle view it has become political because they are dumb enough and naïve enough to follow the so-obviously politically biased rhetoric of their respective party. Anyone with half a brain will see through that and take the virus at face value. You clearly do not fall in that bucket. At face value, CoVid-19 has killed 2.32k people in the US so far. In fact, it's clear to people who has a clue that it has killed tens of thousands more than that when they compare the deaths this year to what we would have seen in any normal year. But don't worry, no one is going to expect anyone at your "level" to comprehend that.I'm truly happy for you that you haven't lost anyone you care about to it, even though you're clearly such a fucking dufus. That's one of the differences between you and me; I give a fuck about people even though they are not my loved ones. The other difference is that I'm not ignorant about the facts like you are. I live this shit every day and I can't avoid the truth. You, on the other hand, have the luxury of being willfully ignorant.Willful ignorance is the perfect descriptions for assholes like you. Facts are not biased, and the facts are so easily available to anyone who takes the time, and has the honesty, so understand them. You're too fucking dumb and dishonest for that. The irony of you calling me a sheep is fucking precious.
@zollo Seriously, I know more than a few idiots like this guy who have had their heads so far up their asses on this before they either caught CoVid themselves or one of their loved ones did. They change their tunes very quickly when they can't hide from the facts anymore. But the indignation of the ignorant never ceases to irritate me, especially when it is politically motivated. These people are the dumbest of the dumb.
@Alcoholic1992 are you numb? Like really? Covid is obviously real, you have to be special to think it's not. It affects people differently, I know people who have died, my whole family had it last month (including myself) and wasn't very well, however all survived, luckily. I'd rather be unemployed then dead.
And factual. Those questions thankfully have answers.
Just because you hear it on the news doesn't make it a fact. Please don't tell me you're that ignorant.
No, but if you hear it on every news station, from the CDC, the WHO, and countless scientists and experts from multiple different nations across multiple continents, then it is probably a fact.
You think that's the only issue? Are you that stupid?
Death? Yeah, I think death is the only issue. Don't you? Are you that stupid? Why are you alive then?
And the people who died from lockdowns? The children facing starvation? The people who gave up on life because they lost their livelihoods? Just sacrifices to the church of covid in your opinion?
Where are these people? Should take your own advice and not believe everything you hear on the news.
Did you read any of those or did you just link them? The nypost article says the woman possibly died from an interruption of treatment because of covid, but that was not confirmed and it does not say the interruption was caused by lockdowns. It was caused by the hospital being overwhelmed with the sick. So one person was traded to save hundreds. The response was not more harmful the virus. The virus continues to be much, much, much more harmful.
The virus has a 99.98% survival rate for those under 50. The response to the virus is decimating small businesses in America, hurting those who don't have the luxury to sit at home watching Netflix and having their groceries delivered to them. Drug overdoses, child abuse, and domestic abuse are all up.
@joeldalton Even Trump admits that if not for the lockdown, millions of Americans would've died. Have millions of Americans died because of the lockdown? If not, then the lockdown has saved more lives than it caused.
@joeldalton "Despite the researchers' insistence that lockdowns did not reduce death rates, they admitted that the drastic measures were linked to lower numbers of Covid-19 cases" 🙄
@mistixs Deaths are the important issue. Cases are just people getting sick. You're now stating that no one should ever get sick? That's a hell of a standard you're going to have to keep.
@joeldalton With 723 deaths per million (increasing by 2 or 3 a day), the US just overtook Mexico to become 9th worst hit country in the world, and are looking at overtaking Bolivia which has flattened the curve and reduced their daily deaths to 1/10th of their peak over the last 3 months.https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
Saying "listen to the experts" wasn't previously a politically partisan action. The political discussion should be around what the best approach to managing the country and economy is, given the facts (as best known at any given time).
Yes, no arguments around that.
I completely agree!! We get locked down, people will moan, we don't get locked down, people will moan, there is no winning with the English public
@acooke-13. Because we are spilt 50/50. It proved it with the Brexit vote 52/48.
First of all it's not a stupid question, it's 100% accurate. Second why would I be referencing that? Obviously I'm talking about the economy moron. People being laid off from jobs, unable to eat oh, and suffering mental health issues. Oh and one last thing this fake crisis has not killed 200,000 people.
It's killed more than that, you ignorant fascist. And yeah, even if the economy took a dip, it didn't kill 200,000 people,. So I can tell you're not just American, you're a Trumper and you're as deluded as any of them can be.
You're damn right I'm a Trumper. Better than supporting that blithering idiot Biden.
@alcoholic1992 I better support idiot than lying cheating orange baboon. At least there is still hope in idiot, that he will learn.
In Germany there was a study conducted that estimated the rise in deaths to cancer, heart disease and suicide to account to 125.000 deaths. Meanwhile only 11.000 people died "with" corona (not to corona)
Yee simple flue that is a lot more contagious and a lot more deadly than simple flue. But I gues some people just dont learn, Italy was at point where they would help people who had chance of surviving. haven't see it from simple flue yet.
@__inkRat it’s the flu motherfucker
@Italiano312 then get it and prove it.
Uh really? Think about it...
You probably don't support yourself, which is why you fail to understand.
he means the lockdowns and whatnot actually hurt more people than the actual deaths from the virus
@007kingifrit I just meant what aspect are you specifically talking about. Like mental health issues due to loneliness? The impact of the economic crash?
all kinds of things, suicide from lost jobs, drug addiction, lonliness. but also damaged supply lines causing global starvationback in march the UN released a report saying 250 million people would starve to death this year due to lockdowns, this has turned out to be true www.nbcbayarea.com/.../
